Try swimming. I found it useful when I fell down the stairs and broke my ankle, arm and managed to dislocate my shoulder as well. Last year I fell down a rabbit hole a damaged my knee and swimming helped again. A good form of exercise when you need to strengthen your muscles again.

Hello John, I used to be on WLR but this free and you get an app for your phone and it works along similar principles to WLR. The phone app is much better than trying to go online with WLR. Margo :flowerforyou:

First of all are you eating enough ? You need to eat at least half your exercise calories. I eat all of mine. Everyone is different when it comes to losing weight. Mine tends to come off in chunks. I don't lose anything for a few weeks and then a big chunk suddenly disappears. You just got to keep going because if you are…

Don't be. I used to go to the gym when I was really heavy. I used wear a baggy T Shirt and a pair of leggings. Most people in the gym were impressed that I was making the effort to do something about my weight. Start by seeing a Trainer and they will give you an exercise programme to get you started. After a while I got…

I'm aiming for about a 150. I used to weigh that in my 20's and 30's and looked really good in bikini. So only 45 pounds to go then

I plan my food daily first thing in the morning.I cook using fresh ingredients and don't eat ready meals. I generally have poached eggs on toast for breakfast. Lunch can be either a Sandwich ( love banana sandwich ) or Jacket potato with Tuna or homemade soup.Dinner can be Any sort of meat or fish with loads of vegs and…

I eat what I fancy providing I keep within my calorie allowance. I cook from fresh. That way you can eat more andit's healthier. I plan out my food in morning so I know what I have spare then I can add some extra fruit if I'm hungry. You are probably wasting your money buying pills.

Some of them Pee on their feet as well LOL

I have three Dogs. Two Dalmations and a Belguim Shepherd. Jack 13 yrs, Prince 5 yrs and Daisy 3 yrs. None of them step in their own pee or poo. None of them get on furniture because I have never allowed them to. As a child I was brought up in Germany just after the war on a farm and was never allowed to leave the house…

You need to have a talk with him to find out why he feels this way. Surely he would like to have a fit healthly you rather someone he is going to lose prematurely. As for him not eating healthy meals. Healthy Meals are good for everyone regardless of whether they need to lose weight or not. My slim partner eats the same…

I just eat normal food and cook using fresh ingredients. I don't have ready meals or processed food. I used to weigh over 300 pounds and lost all by keeping within my calorie allowance and I eat my exercise calories.

Hi I live in Hertfordshire and my diary is open. I eat normal food and drink wine. Walk the dogs for exercise. I just count calories. Please feel free to add me :drinker:

I can remember my Mother doing that one in the 1950's  but I don't recall her losing any weight

I'm 63 tomorrow and I work on the principle if you don't use it you lose it   I'm alot fitter than some people half my age and intend to carry on.

I have taken the precription version and it didn't make any difference. My doctor said that this due to that I didn't have enough fat in my diet to make it work. You can still put on weight even with a low fat diet by simply eating too much. I find it much easier to count calories.

I will be cooking the usual Christmas Dinner and eating it. I intend to cook in a healthy way and watch my portion size. The dogs will be getting extra walks for their Xmas treat because I have more time. If I eat junk food it makes me feel ill quite quickly so it's just not worth it for me. My body doesn't tolerate junk…

Looks like you are not eating enough. I always eat my exercise calories and lose weight every week.

I have a Veggie friend and I'm quite happy to eat her food. She cooks some yummy meals. I often ask her for the recipes and find her quite easy to cook for when she comes over to visit me.
-
My Partner eats what I put on the table only more of it. Healthy Eating is good for the family even if they don't need to lose weight. I would never cook separate meals.

I feel your pain :flowerforyou: I'm an hour glass as well. My top half is a size larger than my bottom half. When I buy trousers I have to buy them to fit my bum and belt the waist in. If I buy a dress I have to buy it to fit my bust but then it's too big around the hips. Can't win LOL

Working out with an injury is not a good idea. When I broke my ankle and pulled the ligaments down the side of my knee I found swimming very helpful.

Sounds like your daughter's dog may have kidney stones and needs a visit to the vet ASAP. In the UK we have the Blue Cross who will treat your animal if you have no money but most Vets will agree a payment plan.Someone needs to get that dog to a Vet and today.

Oh dear I must be a slacker. I only walk my three dogs for 40 minutes a day, go swimming when I have time and do Aqua Aerobics once a week. My calorie allowance is 1410 and I eat all my calories earned by exercise. I'm set to lose a pound a week but regularly lose 1-2 pounds a week so happy with that. I'm 62 yrs old so age…

My slimline partner eats the healthy meals I put on the table in the evening and eats his junk food lunchtime when he's at work. So I suppose I'm lucky. However he did say last night I can really feel you lost some weight Skinny *kitten* LOL
