I really enjoy the events/challenges that require a posting of the route (garmin / strava / etc) looking at where everyone else lives, rides is pretty cool...having never been out of the states, being able to use Google Maps/Earth to look at where everyone else rides is really pretty cool. Just thinking out loud

I have used my GS3 with Endomondo for 3-4 hour rides, no music, no mobile data and had plenty of battery, some random texts/calls, pics etc..but never worried about the battery.

Well no ride today (Tuesday) unknown about Wednesday, both are my long days at work (0600-1830) BUT my bike got a nice treat....hot soapy degrease bath, towel tried, pulled the cassette apart, pulled the chain, pulled the crank, new grease/lube all around and ready to go Thursday for sure. My wife is a little jealous.

For 2,000 your best bets will be Giant, Scott, Blue and Bianchi. Without looking at each of their websites, you will probably find better components on an Aluminium frame and a step down in parts if you step up to carbon. And guessing you should be able to find Shimano 105>Ultegra mix on them OR SRAM Rival>Apex. just my…
