  • I've been experiencing this first hand. It is terrible! Food is so expensive here so sometimes it is legit cheaper to get McDonalds or Cocos or anything else over cooking (My normal meal at Cocos is a 1/2 order of fried chicken curry for 543 calories and a bajillion milligrams of sodium and costs 493 yen which is 4-5$)…
  • You really just have to tell yourself you can do it. If you run outdoors (and I recommend it even though it is probably hot out by you) you can pick something ahead of you and tell yourself you will run to that landmark (lamppost, tree, fire hydrant, etc) and then when you get there, move on to the next one and the next…
  • Lol everyone hating on the humidity....try moving to a sub tropical island where it is 90%+ humidity all of the time and the only rain we get is from typhoons! I walk outside and my glasses fog up ._. Best: thunderstorms/beach Worst: everything else...
  • If it makes you feel better, I don't even get the "You're really pretty, but.." comment. I get the "Your eyes are nice"
  • What has helped me not just lose weight but inches as well and also keep up with it (means less binging or cravings) is that I eat whatever I want in moderation. I still eat fast food...not often, but I do. I eat chocolate...white chocolate, dark chocolate, whatever. If I want ice cream, I keep skinny cow products on hand.…
  • I'm doing the 30 day squat challenge and just finished day 9.

  • Try running outside! I did the first three weeks inside and hated it...ran outside and never looked back!
  • I quit after a trip to visit me cousin...she met me at the airport with a blunt and the only time we weren't stoned was when we got drunk on bourbon street. I just felt burnt out after that. But I wouldn't say no to the occasional time now and again if the chance arose ;) I smoked through my junior and senior years and my…
  • Thanks...it isn't too bad yet...fully done with day two
  • I live in Japan...1pm football games in the states air at 3 am here. And yes, I got up to watch them
  • I wish I could sleep less. I could get so much more **** done if I could cram 8 hours of sleep into 4 :P
  • What a sad family you must have been raised in. My mom, brother, grandpa, and myself proudly promote our poops....nothing feels better than getting a good load off :P
  • I'm a curvy girl here! Even when I was tiny (120lbs or less) no one could tell because I have big boobs and hips and a butt! My goal is between 140-150 which always gets me looks about how that isn't thin enough...but I want to be healthy AND have my curves.
  • My aunt gets bad migraines from MSG but it doesn't affect me or most of my family at all.
  • I was lucky...my friends intervened before I got too bad. I was 15 pounds below my low end "healthy" BMI...about 103 lbs and through their encouragement, I started eating more bit by bit. I wasn't an over-exerciser so it was easy to get back to a "healthy" weight. I'm lucky they even noticed because even my mom didn't see…
  • I was anorexic as well and turned over-eater...plus a fear of "restricting" and laziness...well, you know. I go through cycles. There are some times that I catch myself wanting to boredom eat, but I have noticed I handle considerably less food than I used to. Sure, I can still put down a 2000 calorie binge day, but I can…
  • When I used to partake, I'd get the munchies, but if I didn't have food, I wouldn't eat anything at all....or sometimes I'd crave veggies. I lost 10 lbs while smoking and definitely didn't need it then. I wish I could use it now ;P
  • I did couch to 5K last summer as well as 2 5Ks and it worked great! It didn't move too fast for me to keep up...sure it was hard, but I had never been a runner in my life. You can also easily repeat days/weeks as needed, but if you feel good, I recommend pushing yourself. I'd stick with the every other day it is intended…
  • My BMR is 1400 and I eat between 1500-1800 calories a day. I have my TDEE set to sedentary because some weeks I work out a ton and others hardly at all so it is only at 1900 so I try to eat back some exercise calories on my big workout days. I have a hard time eating over 1600 calories unless I start eating junk food…
  • Well upon reading this, I started the water diet and now I'm all bloated and pee all the time! :grumble: Why am I not losing weight?!
  • I recently had to restart C25k after a string of sinus infections and walking pneumonia kept me down all fall. Not only was it 6 months of no running but my lungs were still incredibly week. I tried to restart on week 4 and did okay but couldn't get past week 5 day 2. I quit for another two months and restarted from week 1…
  • It doesn't have to be a New Year or a Monday or whatever to start over. If you have a bad day, wake up the next morning with the mind frame of success. Also, it can take time to see results...don't give up!
  • Any specifics on how long I should bake them and at what temp? I will definitely be doing this as soon as I get sweet potatoes! Also, if anyone who eats the purple ones know how well this works, that's be great to know as I live in Japan and not sure if they have orange sweet potatoes here.
  • Anyone do them more like a dessert with cinnamon and/or brown sugar? I've been looking for a recipe more like that so I can enjoy them as I do at Texas Road House, but healthier. I saw it on a show once but cannot for the life of me find the recipe.
  • Hi, so I am not diagnosed with PCOS...in all honesty because I'm too scared to ask, but I do have a lot of the symptoms (almost all of them) and have a lot of trouble losing weight. I haven't tried it yet, but I've heard and read that lower carb works better for losing weight with PCOS. I am a carboholic so I haven't tried…
  • None that I know of with Ashlin, but when my best friend's dad was sick shortly before he passed, he couldn't keep names straight and started calling me Veronica which to our knowledge he never even knew a Veronica...but whenever I hear West Side Story by LFO, I think of him.
  • Hello! I am looking to lose 50 total pounds...I'm stuck at about 13 (haven't updated my weight but after a 5 week plateau, I lost 6 and then it went back up 4). I am not a great cook but I came up with a fantastic oatmeal pancake recipe that I eat daily. It keeps me full and is great post workout. It is about 350 calories,…
  • I've been lazy with my logging, even though it was all mapped out on Endomondo but after my 7 miles this morning, I figured I should post it up! A very doable amount left :D
