  • I'm all about the helping me with housework one....he swept the floor without me asking last week (and our apartment is mostly laminate so that was a lot of sweeping) and I could have jumped him right then and there:love: ) I was having a bad week once and he bought me a book he knew I'd been wanting with a nice card...and…
  • ^^^^THIS I'm not going to give up all the foods I love...I just try to have them less often. If you have a smart phone and the smart phone app, you can track your weekly calorie intake in graph form...I use this..I figure if I'm at or below my net for the week, I'm okay. I binged hard on Tuesday, but I've been at or below…
  • I feel like I should set up rewards for myself but it is hard to warrant spending the money. When I get to my goal weight I am buying a new wardrobe (I'll have to as I own nothing smaller than a 10 and I hope to be an 8 or a 6). I also plan to get my tattoos...one when I lose my arm jiggle and one when I'm at my goal…
  • I am still a pretty new runner...completed C25K last summer, got sick, and now am restarting. I was running 5 days a week, but I'm going to start a lifting program next week so will be doing 3 days and short mile runs on lift days. If that works for you, feel free to friend me for mutual support :)
  • Wish I could listen to Pandora while I work out, but if I did, 90s Pop always makes me bouncy and and happy so I'd probably work out to that ;)
  • Very inspiring story! Good luck with your Triathlon and your classes! You look amazing, btw ;)
  • I don't think I had back dimples even when I was anorexic....I didn't have a thigh gap either...guess my body just doesn't want me to be hot *harrumph*
  • I blow my nose like 4 times before I leave the house because no matter what the weather is, it runs! I usually just end up blowing it in my t-shirts...which is gross but gets it off my face. Also, I cough up phlegm but I figured it was residue from my 3 sinus infections last fall.
  • I don't think I'd be of much help...I find nerdy names for my pets that are usually quite obscure. So far I've had Reno and Elena and we inherited a dog named Bella, but we call her Bellatrix so no one thinks we named her after Twilight. ._.
  • Dear 16 year old me, Stop starving yourself....and remember, eating everything in sight won't make you happy either. No matter how hard it gets, people love you...Life may not turn out how you expect it, but just be happy with the ride. AND it is okay to practice moderation...you'll be happier if you do. Love, 24 year old…
  • ^^^ Same. Huge Avengers fan here, especially Iron Man...so obviously I love sarcasm ;)
  • The thing with running is that it is a mental battle as much as a physical one. Even seasoned runners can struggle. That being said, I have used a few different tools to over come those battles. First, I tell myself that I can do it. When I get tired or sore, I repeat in my heard a simple mantra...I can do it, I can do it…
  • I binged on a box of munchkins from dunkin donuts just a few days ago...1600 calories in one sitting. It happens. The important thing is, you need to stop putting so much on what the scale says. I frequently go through periods where the scale won't change for weeks! It is frustrating...but you should take measurements as…
  • For me it is difficult after my weight loss slows. I just take each day as it comes and do my best to make smart and healthy choices. Also, having a workout plan helps. I'm doing C25K right now and that gives me a reason to go work out...for the next 9 weeks or so...and then I'll have to find a new challenge. The awesome…
  • You will hear a lot of different opinions but what matters is what works for you! I follow the "eat whatever, but in moderation" and also stick to In Place of a Roadmap (you can search it in the threads...they are on 3.0 now) I eat 1500-1800 calories a day, work out, and lose weight! It is mostly common sense and sometimes…
  • I suffer from anxiety attacks and found the more I work out, the less likely I am to have them. A workout buddy might be a good idea though or if your heart rate is bothering you, get an HRM to monitor your heart rate. It probably feels worse than it actually is.
  • I did 4.5 miles of walking/running today and had over 700 calories burned. I know when I used to just run MFP would underestimate by 200 calories or more. I use an HRM so I trust that more than something that doesn't take my height or heart rate into consideration.
  • 1/3rd done! Did 4.5 miles this morning.
  • I voted... Best of luck to you :)
  • I have recipes for oatmeal pancakes and super skinny peanut butter pie for PB2. I also add it in with normal pancake batter for peanut butter pancakes. Oatmeal Pancakes: 1 banana, 1/3 egg whites or liquid egg (or 2 eggs for more calories), 2 tablespoons PB2, cinnamon, blueberries, 1/2 rolled oats Mash the bananas up as…
  • I am about to round off my week 2. It sucks running when it is hot, but I've run up to 87 degrees (in Texas) and it wasn't as bad as I thought. Thankfully, it is cloudy and cool here today so the 60 some degrees will feel nice. Good luck!

  • I know you said you don't have time to make breakfast, but I have a quick and easy oatmeal pancake recipe that is easy and takes 10 minutes to make and cook. If not for work days, great on the weekends. You just mash 1 banana, throw in 1/2 cup of rolled oats, 1/3 cup egg whites (or liquid egg or 2 eggs but calories are…
  • I mom says the miraculous bra at VS does her wonders...she's barely an A as well. I on the other hand have lost almost 20 lbs and no cup sizes. If you want some of my triple D's, I'll gladly share ._.
  • Did 4.27 miles yesterday and 3.11 miles today.
  • Next time make skinny peanut butter pie. I had been t for breakfast and didn't work out :P jeez, I suck at motivation!
  • Hi, and welcome! It is possible, but you shouldn't get hung up on it as our bodies can be fickle beings. I recommend searching for in place of a roadmap 3.0 and figuring out your BMR and TDEE (basic metobolic rate and total daily energy expenditure) and eat between those numbers (I'd say 20% less than your TDEE). Just eat…
  • Eating more, switching up your training, or changing what you eat totally helps. I was on a plateau from March 1st until two days ago. For April, my husband and I agreed on no eating out and to eat less processed foods that normal and when I weighed in today for a challenge, I was down almost 6lbs! It is the first time…
  • I have changed many times, but right now I'm Majoring in humanities with a minor in East Asian studies with a focus on Japanese. I figure I'm living here and it would be a good way to learn the language and I really want to stay here.
  • I know one person for sure...my husband. As a general rule he hates people, but I make him happy enough to tolerate people on occasion. If you knew my husband, you'd find that impressive.
