Congrats! It's the journey as well as the end product that makes this actually fun....and this site helps with that. I used to get so cranky when I was trying to loose weight. Having a supportive network is imperative! CONGRATS!!!!

when that happens to me i usually endure it for a time then get new shoes. It never goes away for me....and it can be SO ANNOYING!
-
@Odonna I know....I've got a skirt size 10 in my closet staring at me every morning. It will be mine! OH YES....IT WILL BE MINE! To everyone else! Thank you so much. I could not do this without such incredible support....and from people I have never met. Wish I could meet you all!

WAY TO GO GIRL!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
-
It's ok to fall off the wagon now and then....just savor it and make sure those times are far and few in between.

It's really something different for everyone! For me, when I was getting married, my motivation was to be glowing in my wedding gown and have my body look toned and not jiggly. Everytime I wanted to eat poorly or skip my running or biking I would think about how I wanted to look and feel on that day. My desire to look good…

WOW YOU LOOK GREAT!!!!! YEAH YOU!!!!!

I can't wait till I'm single digits again....it's been at least 13 years since that day...but the scale's going down and my clothes in my closet are, like you, getting too big and I'm dreading going to the stores... maybe I'll get a belt first.... WAY TO GO!!!!! IT'S A BIG THING YOU DID!!!!! *SMILES* *WHOOTS & HOLLERS* ! !…

I've been here on MFP since February and I am trying to lose like 45-50 pounds myself. I lost 23 so far and it feels great! But it's friggin hard work. IF you wanna compare notes about food/exercise (which I do a TON in the summer) friend me! You can get rid of those 50 lbs. ( I'm trying not to say "lose" because to me…

Isn't it nice.....purposeful goal oriented (Positive) and supportive site/members. We are all united by one thing...TO GET HEALTHY!
-
You may lose faster...and besides doing things at a varying rate confuses you body into not knowing how much food to store.
-
It varies from person to person. Personally I lost like 5 right away and then stalled for three weeks and then (and currently) lost (lose) evenly about 2 pounds a week....some times more....stall around my period and then lose afterwards when the water retention subsides...just make sure you exercise somewhat hard (Break a…

Why thank you for the suggestion....I think I'll try some.

Plateaus=Patience.....something that is tough to have on this journey. But once it breaks and you break through it....what a totally euphoric feeling! GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!! Y E A H !!!!

WINE OUT !!! AND LOVE EVERY MOMENT OF IT!!! We all have those days!

Excellent Job! You should be proud! Being optimistic and always pushing for the highest goal is good as long as it doesn't consume us. Isn't that weird when your clothes that used to fit you are (as if by a miracle) now loose and falling off? What a great feeling. Now the real trick is being able to let those clothes go…

If you are really concerned go to the doctor and have your thyroid checked, though 130 still seems good...perhaps it's muscle. Hang in there!

LOVE THiS !!!! Copied and On my refrigerator!

Don't be discouraged! Easy to say, hard to do! But I know you can! And it's OK if you can't run right away. That takes a while to build up. But once you can run, keep at it. With running AND even walking...once you do it you don't lose it. I used to be just a summer runner (with occasional bursts of running in spring in…

it is tough! Really it is. But the good thing is that, if you are honest about what you put into your body on MFP it actually stares at you in the face like those stupid GEICO commercials. I agree... log after you have a meal of snack if you can. And don't forget that you get more calories of you exercise too! You can do…

When I can't go outside, I usually commit myself to exercising to a tv show. (sprinting or jogging during the commercials) Most shows are either 30 minutes or an hour.
-
I usually give myself the weekend to not be really strict. That doesn't mean go hog wild. It just means I'm not too particular. (sometimes I don't even post the daily intake for the day) I think that it's good for you to not be so strict every day because your body has a memory. If you eat the same way all the time your…

Treadmill running is definitely tougher than going outdoors. I find that using the tv while running inside cuts down some on the boredom. Watch an hour show or a half hour show and sprint in the commercials or do hill work or pick your poison. (Though I still feel like a hamster on a wheel) Depending on your music…

You can do it! Welcome! I have found this site to be the most helpful. I have tried journaling in the past but found it tedious. this site makes it sooooo easy! Take it one day at a time and don't forget to allow yourself a day to go over your cals. or you will go crazy. Plus mixing up your calorie intake confuses your…

I do keep a water bottle with me but that is not the problem. It's just going to the bathroom. I literally have no time to pee except before class (9:10) at lunch (12:00) and the end of the day (3:20). If I drink as much as I should I have to go in the middle of class. SOOOO annoying. With no bathrooms (or rooms with ones…

I think I'll have to go back to doing that. I'm being compulsive about it i guess. As long as my clothes keep fitting better I guess I need not obsess. I'll have to restrict my weigh-ins.

Thank you all...this is comforting to know that it's not just me!
