I just ask for sashimi salad without the dressing. Super filling, high protein, you get some veg, without all the sugary dressing, and uh DUH lots of delicious sashimi. That, plus a small miso and a green tea, and I don't ever run up my calories too high.

I work at a hospital so we have a cafeteria, and I don't pack lunch. We have a pretty basic salad bar and I just add on whatever protein they have going on that day, so long as it isn't fried or covered in oil or something.

Turkey burger is a weekly staple for me. Had one the other day with a "fried" egg and portabella mushrooms, spinach and feta with a One Bun (ozery bakery) and it was definitely no cheat night. I get a little more creative with my cheat meals. :)

The week before my last half I tapered my runs and sort of just slightly increased my carbs. The day before, I had a nice tuna burger with lots of french fries and a good pint, and I felt just fine the next morning.

When I want a little sweetness in my tomato sauce I thinly grate carrots and sweat those out with the onion and celery (basic mire poix) until everything is an unidentifiable mush and THEN I do the tomato part, which can be hours sometimes, but totally worth it. I rarely use sugar.

I broke at one point on a trip. otherwise I've been smoke free for over a year. The urges only come up at this point when I'm out and have one too many drinks, which isn't something that happens often these days. It took a while to get there, though.
