Six lbs so far, about a month and a half. It's where I figured I'd be. I don't have a lot to lose, and the goal weight is just a weight I was at last time I was feeling fit and healthy. I don't necessarily have to get there or even want to go far beyond the goal weight. I could probably lose 5-6lbs more and be very happy,…

I think you can technically count that towards your water goal in your diary.

Heeeey (but too young)

I dated someone whose mother tried something like this (isn't this basically like Nutrisystem?), and she went a little cuckoo-bananas and just ate all the desserts and went on with her usual meals after a few days. She'd keep the nutrisystem coming, but only eat the desserts and pastas she liked. Of course she never lost…

Great work!

Sorry for my rudeness*. I dated a chef for three years. I might have developed a food temper through osmosis or something. Don't get me started on steak doneness. JUST DON'T. *I'm not actually sorry, the "well done/skinless" salmon thing would've kept me up that night.

And then you broke up with her?

Holy crap.

Hey I love my morning chocolate protein smoothie, but eating them in place of actual food? That's no way to live, man.
-
I have no idea where she thought you were being snotty. I sure didn't see it.

Not feeling ridiculous in shorts this weekend. :D

Peanut butter on toast, with some honey or agave syrup.

I'm not gonna guess what OP's response to this will be, but I praise jesus whenever I get crispy crunchy salmon skin after I cook it, and I'm an athiest.

As a kid, I was always on the heavier side. At 15 I was 5'4 (on a good day) and pushing 180lbs. It took a lot of teenage/young adult disordered eating, going down to 115 lbs (which DID NOT look good on me) and then jumping right back up to 160lbs to finally learn how to lose weight the healthy way and to be fit. That being…

Look under your settings, it should give options as to your diary being public or private or locked.

You should have just received a friend request from me. I keep my diary open, you probably should too. It helps with accountability when you know people can peek in and see what you're up to.

I have a transgender sibling and tell me about it with the hunger! That kid can eat like crazy! You can add me as a friend on here, I'll encourage you. :)

Calories are calories no matter what time of day or night.

Iron supplements are the easiest thing. I remember having to be prescribed ferrous sulfate as a kid because I was iron deficient and wouldn't eat enough meat (what an idiot, sheesh). It helped except I remember feeling like I was pooping tiny boulders.

Learn to stock up on dry grains and legumes: -Brown rice, quinoa, barley, whole grain pastas -Lentils, beans, nuts Learn to stock up on canned goods: -Stock -Canned tomatoes (super versatile in soups, pastas, and braises) -Beans Learn the word "mirepoix" or "holy trinity" for bases to soups, pastas, bakes -Onions, Carrots,…

The kid knows what she's doing. If she's hungry, she'll eat. If she's not, she won't. She's in competitive sports, she's probably pretty in tune with her body and will eat appropriately whether she realizes it or not.

I comment and I also post all my thoughts during the day, so if you're into that...

I basically handle all the food in my home, where I take care of my sick mother (newly diagnosed diabetic+hypothyroid+lifelong heart problems) and my teenage sister. They've both been raised to eat whatever's "easy" and so they've developed a taste for greasy, salty, cheesy, fatty foods. That isn't to say those kinds of…

Hah! I'm a financial counselor/collector, myself. I've used that same analogy before!

Exactly that. Luckily I've gotten to the point where I am more conscious of what's happening and can now stop it before it starts. Every now and then I allow myself to go over my calories for a particurly good "cheat" meal, but it's not the same at all to me as a binge, because it's usually premeditated and isn't followed…

I did a very yummy warm lentil salad on a bed of arugula, with sauteed portabella mushrooms, and goat cheese, once. Now that I think of it, I'll do that this weekend.
