Same here! I also added a countdown app on my phone that lets me see how many days of the Shred I have left. For me countdowns are very motivating! :)

Yes, this. I couldn't have said it better myself. Great work so far everyone!

http://blog.emilysuess.com I write about writing mostly, but there's also some stuff there about health, fitness, and cooking. Hope to see some of you there!

Stick with the scale. It won't steer you wrong. When it comes to counting calories for peanut butter, I'd be absolutely lost without it.

I walk when I can on my breaks at work and try to get a little jog in on the weekends. But my focus is just on giving those 20 minutes my best every day, anything else is just icing on the cake. (I almost mean that literally, because I like to spend my extra calories on sweets!) :)

It made me laugh too. Just something about it. :)

Welcome to MFP! :) I send you a friend request.

I'm a writer/editor and stuck at a desk all day too. Coming home to do the 30DS or jog on the treadmill is a MUST for me.

I couldn't agree more. Irresponsible is the best word for it.

I pretty much just ignore all the people skinnier than me. ;) It's a joke, people!

I'm an evening workout girl, so I won't be able to get to Day 3 until I get home from work. HOWEVER, I am really excited about it. I can't wait to bust away from this desk and do the shred. (Even though my legs are really feeling it from Day 2!!)

LOL! Good for you! Here's to a happier, healthier you :)

Wow! I finished Day 1, Level 1 today. Afterwards my arms felt really jiggly! (I have almost no upper body strength, because I don't do much but walk/jog typically.) This is really going to be a challenge. Can't wait for Day 2! Please feel free to add me, everyone.

[Blowing the dust off my DVD] I'm in! Please hold me accountable! :)

One of the best articles I've seen on the topic. Thanks for posting!

LOL! That's so hysterical. I think I'll let the rest of you try it for me though. :)

Add me too if you want. And welcome to MFP! I think the site is awesome and you'll find lots of support here. :)

Like some others have mentioned, I log everything I eat because I'm just that OCD. I log specific exercise and things like a full day of cleaning the house. But I don't track everyday activities like walking the dog. That's just me! :)

Had a really bad 5k time and decided it was time to do something about it. I haven't been running like I want, and I've decided to be more disciplined. I've got a goal to lose 35 lbs and run an 8k in September. Feel free to add me!
