Diamond Naturals here - dogs have food allergies so have to be very careful what I feed them. Spoiled hounds eat mostly rice, chicken, and french fries more than dog food, though lol

I much prefer the sleeve to the RNY. I don't like the malabsorption associated with the RNY. It can be extremely dangerous if levels fall and very hard to bring them back up. Sleevers do not lose weight as fast as RNYers, so please do not compare YOUR journey to anyone else's. Everyone is different =)

It's surreal after surgery. The weight flies off and it is hard for the head to catch up to the body. I'm 9 months out and my head still sees the 255 pound woman in the mirror. It's also very rewarding. I worked out pre-surgery and had virtually no results. After, I did the same workout and dropped weight like crazy. It…

Are you asking if you record the food you threw up? If so, I would. You don't really know how much absorbed and how much didn't, so better to play it safe and keep it all there.

I thought it was weird that my taste would change after surgery, but they did! Before, I HATED bacon - even the smell made me want to vomit. After surgery, all I wanted was bacon! As a matter of fact, the first meal I made when I could eat normal food again was the bacon cheeseburgers from Eggface's website. Man, they were…

I'm a little over 8 months out and I am just starting back in the gym after a 3 month break. At the time I quit going, I was running like crazy! I love the elliptical =) Since I am at my goal, I am not starting to muscle build and am following a routine set out by bodybuilding.com. So far, I am LOVING it! There's nothing…

Those protein shots are garbage for sleevers. The protein in them is collagen and comes from animal skin and bones. It is not absorbed by our bodies. Whey protein is the best for us, but egg protein can work for those with a whey intolerance. I usually start my day with a Click protein shake (YUMMY!) and 4 boiled egg…

For the first few months, calories don't matter. Even now, 8 months out, I don't pay too much attention to calories. Post-op, it will be rather difficult to get 1000 calories in. I rarely do it now. The main focus should be on protein and fluid...especially fluid! Drinking will seem like a chore, but sip constantly to…

I haven't really eaten too many pureed foods! I stick with protein shakes and greek yogurt for the most part. I have had some cheddar potato soup from Bear Creek that is awesome and also had some refried beans with cheese and sour cream. I also eat a piece of cheese every now and then. I tend to stick to one or two foods…

Hi everyone! I had my surgery on 06 December 2011 in Kuwait. For the curious, my doctor's name is Dr. Sami Aman. From my highest weight, I am down 24 pounds and hoping for another 70 by the summer =)
