I am a firm believer in meat, however, I LOVE the Morningstar Grillers veggie burgers, especially at 130cal per patty, put it on a whole wheat bun and that's lunch. It really helps curb my fast food burger cravings. I have a vegetarian friend, she is the one who introduced me to the veggie burgers. She is in a constant…

Me doing this the right way actually started with my 14 year old son(plus I quit smoking and gained some lbs). During a dr check-up we discovered he has high blood pressure, I was floored, my teen had high blood pressure!!! We were told he needed to lose weight or be put on bp meds. I didn't want to limit his calories so I…

I've been waiting for the forum to start working again just so I could thank you for this recipe. It was sooooo good!

I hate cutting a whole avocado when I only want half. Then I read to drizzle some lime or lemon juice over the exposed flesh and it will stay fresh. Just rinse before using.

Exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much!

Cake frosting, most candy bars(except peanut butter cups which aren't bars...), and doughnuts.

I don't eat out at all, I try not to buy things that will tempt me, I cut out all the sodas, I use stevia when possible(and less sugar in the things I don't put stevia in), I have scheduled times to eat meals and snacks, and I am trying to eat things that have minimal processing(which is hard to do in redneck country).

What really helped me was tracking the calories, I'd rather eat those calories.

I weigh myself 3 times but I only record Saturday's weight. I do the two other times to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong during the week because I new to eating to lose weight. Does that make sense? Anyway, everything I've read says once a week(and at the same time and same day every week) so you're fine.

Mmm, let's see I love to read(sci-fi, horror, suspense, non-fiction, fantasy, western, etc.), I still watch old reruns of Star Trek, The Twilight Zone(original with Rod Serling), and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. I also like watching anime, documentaries, and alien shows. I spend a LOT of time researching whatever pops into…

I am currently working my way through the Game of Throne series, again. After I guess I'll reread the Silo Series. One of these days I'll buy the Dark Tower books on my kindle and read all those, again.

Thank you so much for asking this, I was wondering the same thing. In my case I started the diet before I found mfp and I wanted to go from that point.

Lol @ all the shorties in this thread. I'm 4ft 10in, fairly new to the site(I don't know if my diary is "open" or not :ohwell: ). Be warned, there's the occasional oatmeal cream pie. I read something recently about a woman who's mother had passed away. During her last days she had told her daughter that she wished…

Ok so the problem I have with your "people are going to do whatever they want to do" comes from personal experience. I used to maintain my "ideal" weight by eating one meal, every other day. That's right, ONE freaking meal ever OTHER day. In between I kept myself full of coffee and nicotine to manage. I'm 4ft 10in, any…

I'm not sure about the weight loss prospects, but I do know it will lower your blood pressure and relax your body. So be careful if you are on a bp medication because while the tea is helping your bp it will cause your body not to need your meds. Make sense?

I can handle pretty much anything, except tomato's and sweet peas. Cottage cheese I hated as a kid, but I was recently surprised to find out I now love it, go figure...

I don't think the issue of exactly how many calories she burned is important. She is exhibiting obvious signs of physical distress, that is what is important here. The number just isn't of great significance in this particular situation.

This is good sound advice.

I have a tendency to push myself too hard, or limit myself to excess. When I have done so I feel the same way you described, generally I give myself a break and yes, some extra calories. It wouldn't hurt for you to have your blood pressure and sugar checked however. With you craving salt your electrolytes may be out of…
