Yes. But it just pisses me off that my family is apparently actively trying to starve me or something. If they didn't want to bring me anything they could've just said that I should go get my own food instead of buying me salad because I "can't eat ribs it will make me fat."

I've overspent today...by $00.15...Lol my daily allowance is $16.50
-
I can't do shakes. It doesn't fill me up if I don't chew my food. So I'll stick to my overnight oatmeal for breakfast and my slowcooker masterpiece dinners
-
Lol that's a fun way to look at it....
-
Okay then sorry MFP for all the hype about nothing, and sorry Pharmacist for cursing you because you are an idiot and gave me the "wrong" stuff. :) Ironic I called him an idiot aint it? Lol

I don't care about weight loss I just want my digestion to be normal.
-
It is? That's a funny name for fibre..
-
The only ingredient listed in this stuff (Fybogel) is 3.5g of Ispaghula Husk per sacket. :-/
-
This was my exact words to him: "I need a fibre supplement, something that I can drink everyday to keep regular." While in a hurry I never checked what he gave me and when I got home and read it's label first thing I see is "WARNING: laxatives should not be taken for longer than a week unless prescribed by a physician."

I have no problem eating healthy, but the thing is that it doesn't seem to help a thing. Unless I live off beans and lentils and all bran cereal all day (that is eat JUST that stuff alone), my tummy isn't "going" anywhere. :-/ Prunes also doesn't do anything . It's just not enough. I need to eat 30g of fibre a day to make…

So basically my anger is not misplaced and my pharmacist didn't listen to me and sold me ****. :-/

It depends on your overall calories for the day. However if you are looking to stay satisfied up until lunch, I would suggest a protein rich breakfast. It helps for me anyway. If I don't eat some sort of fat or protein with breakfast I'm hungry again 2 hours later.
-
I think we can only do so much to help someone. Even if they do ask, it doesn't mean they will take your advice. they might just brush it off and follow their own head anyway, in which case there's not much more you can do to stop them.

I agree. let's go chew some meat while they swallow their colored water...
-
Same thread...same reply... Eeuuuw, shakes.

Who cares?! I'm gonna half-quote Andrew Zimmern on this: "If it looks good, (and fits in your calories) eat it!"
-
....But but but... I like cheddar.... :(
-
Or you could go the easier, cheaper route: Which is eat lean meat and a good variety of nutrient-dense vegetables. I've tried protein shakes and stuff but it just doesn't fill me up as good when I drink my calories instead of chewing them.
-
Lean meat and mixed veggies. Egg scramble with ham and veggies. I usually make a chicken wrap or I eat oatmeal. Or I throw a bunch of stuff in my crockpot and cook up a weeks worth of dinners for me. Freeze individual portions. I also sometimes buy a whole rotisserie chicken, carve it, freeze the pieces and take one out to…

I once bought an apparently weird combination of things: Instant Oats Asprin pills Diet coke 2litre*3 Chocolate slabs, 2litre Ice cream 2 minute noodle packs*5 1kg tub of Yoghurt After paying, as soon as I walked away I heard the cashier say to her friend: "Typical student...all they eat is junk." Half of it is true, I am…

I live far away from town. 30minute drive, but that's not why I buy so much sweets at once. It's cheaper here to buy things in bulk than it is to buy them in single portions. :)

Whatever works for you is practical. For me I eat as soon as I wake up, because I'm hungry as soon as I wake up. I just make sure to eat something high in protein, that tends to keep me full all the way to lunch. If not it's fine, I'll just eat a protein rich snack too if I need it.

Glad to know I'm normal at going 10-12 times a day. (I drink more water than needed sometimes, keeps me from eating.)
-
Nope. Serious. Unfortunately. It was actually embarrassing because she said it so loud everyone could hear it.

Overnight oatmeal. or Eggs and bacon on toast or All bran and flavoured milk or Cottage cheese with honey and muesli mixed in

I don't drink alcohol but my general favourite drink is raspberry iced tea. Just me then? Okay...

I used to have the same problem at night, and then I figured out I was eating out of boredom. Drinking water helps a lot for me, and keeping my hands and mind busy with some strategic/puzzle videogames. Advice to be taken : Drink water/chew gum to keep the mouth busy -- Find a hobby to keep you occupied at night.…

I don't really reply to any of it. I just keep my mouth shut and give my siblings the evil eye. My mom I just don't look in the eye right now. I can't say a damned thing until I'm out of here. My advice to all of you? Don't ever get adopted by people who only wanted to take you in so that they can look good in public. When…
