My passion is thought provoking MFP posts, like this one.

I confess to not having a clue what this "kitten" thing is all about.

You can easily loose weight and gain muscle in a year so your proportions are different but you're overall weight is less. What are you wearing a bigger size in, tops or bottoms? Is the bigger size in the waist, chest, legs, arms or neck? I weight less than I did last year too but my shirt sizes are bigger and my waist…

I like the new 2.0 version of NOXPLODE even better.
-
I love NOXPLODE. You have to be careful with it because it does pack a good amount of caffeine and can make you a little jittery. I take the recommended one scoop and I'm wide awake and ready for my workouts. All the caffeine does get you sweating buckets though and it has a good amount of creatine for workout pumps. I've…

Profile pics are on the up and up. Haven't seen or heard of too many catfishes on MFP.

OK, that's makes me ashamed of my gender.

I approve of this message.

Just read OP's profile and I think someone may be a little sensitive at this point. One or two inappropriate messages does not equal a flood, just like one or two apple trees does not equal an orchard.

Depends on what you're trying to achieve, a deficit that is too large will definitely result in lost strength and lost muscle mass. A lifting program will help stimy that a little but without the appropriate level of nutrients and calories, you're body won't be able to repair and recover efficiently. A lot of it depends on…

Just an a question and observation: Why is it that a woman can turn down a guy for something material (i.e. don't have a job, have a job but don't make enough money, don't own a home, no higher level education, hey you're missing teeth, I don't like the way you dress) and it's all good and justified, but if a guy says…

1. People that refuse to use turn signals in their car. 2. People that stand to close to me while having a conversation, worse yet is if they have a habit of spitting. 3. Trying to hold a conversation with me while I'm doing something that I'm interested in (i.e. watching a show). 4. People that don't flush, pee on seats,…
-
Umm, maybe because it makes no sense. Underweight, overweight, waaay overweight, either way the guy was saying that he wasn't satisfied with her physical fitness level. Should it matter to what extreme or lack thereof she is, was or is not?
-
^^^---this. There is no "nice" way to say, "Hey, I really like you but physically I'd like you to look different." Honesty is always better than not.
-
There's a pretty cool video on youtube by a guy that lost a ton of weight and had tons of loose skin afterwards and wanted to show the affect of massive weight gain and loss and also to keep people from getting discouraged about losing the weight just to avoid having the loose skin. It's kind of motivational.…

Wasn't trying to brag, and 280 isn't what I lift or close to my max. I was trying to make a point about taking time shifting plates around when you don't have to just so someone else can work in. Stop being so judgmental.
-
Why should be fume about it not working out or be miffed about it? Not everyone is everyone else's type. Anyway, everyone likes what they like. For some, the physical may be more important than to others. How can we be judgmental about the guy and slam him for being judgmental? She wasn't his type physically, that's…
-
From my perspective, at least he was being honest. Would it have been better for him to lead her on waiting to see if she lived an active and fit lifestyle only to dump her a few months down the road when he realized that she wasn't his type physically? The text came across rude and shallow but I would appreciate a woman…

Glad you had fun racking and unracking weights, not my thing. Waste of time for me and my gym time isn't social time for me either. Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm anti-social when I'm in the gym but I go there to focus on me and my lifts. I can interact with others when I'm not in the weight room.
-
Yes, you're just old fashioned. LOL
-
I see what you're saying. You're using the term "bodybuilding" as a generic term for the entire competitive sport, regardless of class. Much like how you would call a boxer a boxer, regardless of weight class. I'm thinking of it more like different sports. For example, you wouldn't call a UFC fighter a boxer even if he/she…

Hmm, I wasn't saying that bikini competitors didn't need muscle. Maybe I'm not expressing myself in a way that makes sense. Rabbitjb was just saying that a bikini competitor is the same as a bodybuilder, which isn't the case. If it was, then there wouldn't be any distinguishing classes. The purpose of bikini classes is not…
-
Never mind, you're not getting what I'm saying. It's about the focus of what you're trying to achieve. Bodybuilders are focused on building muscle (size matters) while bikin models are just focused on looking lean and shapely (building muscle may not be required and actually losing muscle may be necessary). Websters…
-
Not really, it depends on the person. For example, professional bodybuilder Kai Greene (one of the craziest looking bodybuilders out there) swears by a 30 minute cardio session prior to his lifting routine. The reason most people say to lift first and cardio afterwards is particularly for two reasons: 1. They don't want to…
-
That's cool, we both just have different understandings of what it is to be a bikini competitor and a bodybuilder. That's why they have different classes. You'll never hear a bikini model claim to be a bodybuilder and never hear a bodybuilder claim to be a bikini competitor.
-
I also take limited breaks in between sets, no longer than a minute and allowed longer break after final set between next exercise, no longer than 3 minutes. Working solo, you don't feel rushed or expending unncessary energy on set up.

If I'm benching 280 lbs, that's a lot of weight to take off for a partner that's benching 125lbs and back again. Depends on who you're working out with.
-
Because bodybuilding is specifically the attempt to build muscle. As a bikini competitor, building muscle isn't necessarily the focus, it's just getting a pleasing and aesthetic physique, which doesn't require a lot of muscle or definition. That's why you wouldn't classify bikini competitors as bodybuilders. Their purpose…
