  • I got the routine at this International Women's Day conference that I attended for work and the personal trainer gave a presentation and gave us the routine. I didn't actually speak with her personally so I couldn't ask about it. I will look into finding stuff around my house that I can lift. I do have a bowling ball....…
  • http://www.necklineslimmersite.com/tag/neckline-slimmer-infomercial/ hahahaha  this infomercial makes me laugh every time! It probably doesn't work, but I just had to post it.
  • Maybe you need new shoes? I've heard a good pair of running shoes tailored to your running style makes a huge difference. I'm planning on getting some new shoes when I get my tax return money back.
  • I kind of like listening to nature when i'm outside, but using my ipod headphones might be a good solution. If not, then a headband would probably do the trick. Thanks for the advice everyone!
  • Ask your friend what brand they are so you can look it up.
  • If you have had your Asics for a while I would suggest going to get a new pair of cheaper shoes before you invest in an expensive pair from a good running store. Then from there you can decide if you like running or not. The reason I say this is because if you have had your Asics for a while the padding is probably all…
  • Yep I like to dress my salads with vinegar alone. Lately I've been opting for apple cider vinegar, but balsamic is good too!
  • How many meals do you eat during the day? If you don't already, try eating smaller meals more frequently. That may help. Water does nothing to curb my appetite, either. :grumble: I've also heard that if you eat a large breakfast it will help to keep your appetite suppressed more throughout the day, but I haven't tried this.
  • I know how that is. I just recently moved out of my parent's house, but when I was living with them we always had family dinners. If you have family-style meals where the dishes being served are right on the table where you eat, I have seen studies that say you will eat more. Ask if you can leave the foods on the stove or…
  • must try this... ::drool::
  • I don't think it's possible to see the ingredients used in a recipe entered by someone else. The only thing you see when you search in the food database is the nutrition facts of the food. If there is a specific recipe you are looking for then I would follow skinnyme47's advice and search for it on the message boards using…
  • they both sound decadently evil. I would look in the food database here maybe to get an idea of what cheesecake has vs bread pudding. Maybe that could help you decide. Also I think karensoxfan had a good idea to get the one you think you'll be least likely to finish.
  • I just got this cookbook for 14.99 at Meijer. I've yet to make anything from it, but I have my eye on a few recipes! I really want to try those fajitas now. :)
  • Like the OP, I randomly decided one day that I wanted to get in shape. I had looked at myself in the mirror and didn't like it very much. While I'm not overweight according to my BMI range, I was at the very top of my range. I want to get rid of the extra flab around my mid-section so I don't have to constantly suck it in.
  • Simple enough. She is paid to promote these kinds of things.
  • haha same here.
  • I always see people say that as a general rule it's a good thing to keep your net at around 1200 calories. If that means eating back exercise calories, then I'd say do it. One of the great debates on these boards is to eat or not eat exercise calories, some people swear by not eating them, others swear by eating them. I…
  • My bf of 2 1/2 yrs and I met through a mutual friend. Actually I was dating his friend at the time and the 3 of us hung out all summer together. I broke up with the guy but continued to hang out with him for a few months. I knew he had a big crush on me but I wasn't exactly feeling it. We stopped hanging out and went our…
  • I started running recently and have slowly upped my speed as I felt fit. Run at a pace that you tire out easily after about 2 minutes and keep doing it at that pace for a couple weeks until you feel like you could increase your speed. Increase by maybe .5 mph and see how you feel. I would just continue to increase the…

  • I used to work at a bakery, and as far as I remember they were well over 1000 calories per pazcki. I would stay away if I were you! (Or if you really need to have one, just eat half, or even better, a quarter of one) **EDIT** I never did know the exact nutrional information of them, but I know that they use a different…
  • I have heard that eating a bigger breakfast and tapering your meals for the rest of the day is good. My only problem with that is I have a hard time eating a big breakfast. I can only handle a bowl of cereal and maybe a glass of juice, any more than that and I feel nauseous.
  • Same here! My face turns red at the slightest thing, and most times I'm not even embarrassed about anything. I just get red. I used to be very shy about it, but now I figure it's how I am and there's nothign I can do about it, so I just deal.
  • Avatar. Yep, I said it.
  • This topic makes me want Mexican food BAD!
  • Congrats! That has to be a great feeling :) Tengo un menor en Espanol! Buena suerte con tus estudios!
  • What do you mean Red Wings suck?! We've got a playoff spot.
  • See screen name Leino came from Detroit!! HA HA We had him first!!! Suckas! :P
  • I had it set at 40 lbs and I do around 3 sets of 12 reps. Last time I did it I seemed to feel more in my back than the abs. Maybe I'm not using the machine correctly, but it seems pretty straight-forward.
  • Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I'd like to try the plank. I also just thought that maybe an exercise ball would help with the tailbone issue.
