  • Pick a hobby you have a passion for -- or it will just be 'work' and we all have toooo much of that! :-) My passion/hobby is taking rocks (cabochons) and handmade fused glass and making them into something fabulous to wear. http://www.wireinspirations.com It does help keep my hands busy! My 'hobby' is a bit pricey to start…
  • It's a good rant and I share your frustrations at times and I've only been consistent for 4 weeks. Good for you for being so good for such a long time. I know the number on that scale is so important but ask yourself a couple of other questions. How do you feel eating healthy? I'll bet it's pretty darn good! How do you…

  • Welcome! And here is to faith you will be that skinny guy again! I don't think cooking would be a great strength of mine so I'll leave that to the more creative in the kitchen guys and gals. But I'll be a good friend! Yvonne :flowerforyou:
  • If you need a late night log on friend, that's me! I work 12-14 hour days and then come home and work some more like tonight! But I leave myself logged in MFP while I'm gone so it reminds me when I get home to log my food and keep up with friends. There are some terrific people here - you've come to the right place for…
  • How about I become your friend and encourage you and your butt to be slimmer. :flowerforyou: Although I am pretty darn good at butt kicking. I just wish the ones I get occasionally actually resulted in my having a smaller butt. I'm sending you a friend request. We're here for ya! Yvonne
  • These are the ones I like Hot Herbal Tea (cinammon, chai, sleepytime vanilla) - 0 calories Fuze Slenderize (10 calories - whole bottle) - fruity and sweet Banana - 90 calories Strawberries - only 4 calories per medium one - sprinkle with Stevia or Splenda for a sweeter snack Grapes - 20 - 68 calories I agree with the…

  • For me it's slower than I like but steady progress. Choosing the right foods, exercising 4-5 times a week. Even when the scale doesn't change, I still feel good because I've been good to me! I'm glad to be a friend on your journey to good health! I'll send you a friend request. Yvonne
  • A nurse or doc could probably answer the best. But a couple of guesses I have.... It depends on what kind of surgery you had. When I had major surgery they pumped gas into my abodomen so they could 'see' better. It caused me to swell up like the pillsbury dough boy. Also they put a lot of fluids into me via IV that…
  • Some things that have worked well for me. 1 TBsp of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar (put it in juice - tastes yucky but sooooo good for you) every night. It's not expensive - be sure to use only the Braggs - the others are so processed they have lost all the good stuff. Spinach -- which I love - and other fibrous veggies like…
  • I agree with you in some ways but nothing worth having is easy. I was a tomboy growing up and played with boys more than girls, (Ok, just don't go there boys - you see I DO know you :-), had 2 sons and had 3-4 extra boys at my house on any given day and am mostly surrounded by men in the work world I'm in. But all that…

  • Welcome! MFP friends are here to help and encourage! Sending you a friend request. Yvonne
  • Good advice on the water - that will help. Another thing I do is drink tea (herbal) at night. I pick great flavors like cinammon, vanilla, chai, orange. The warmth and the flavor are great and they do fill me up. I drink 2-3 cups a day. Foods with protein (versus carbs) will also help. Keep up the good fight! :-) Yvonne
  • Iron may be the culprit for the nausea. If you are taking it with food and it still makes you nauseous, check it for iron. I ended up taking a multi vitamin without iron in the morning and taking Enzymatic Therapy iron supplement separately - at night - to solve the problem. This brand is easier on my stomach and taking it…
