  • You can add strength training under cardio for the kcal burned.
  • But hey, what do I know. I only have a Biochem degree and lost 100 lbs and kept it off since 1995 ;)
  • LMAO. I remember a bunch of save the earth freaks signing a petition to ban it and they all signed it. lol
  • Aspartame is fine. Diet is all about calories in versus calories out. There is no insulin fairy, meal timing fairy, magic diet pill, or carbohydrate boogie man. Regular soda has calories. Diet soda does not. Peer-reviewed science does not espouse the purported nefarious affects of aspartame. Source:…
  • Actually, those are the only ones I do (usually) eat back. There is no reason for it, except maybe because they are much lower than cardio cals, but that is what I do and it works for me.
  • What keeps me motivated ? The thread at this website (most motivating thread in the history of the interwebz): http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=108359701 When the scale is acting ignorant (which it will do from time to time), I can always count on my measurements. • This. However, we also need some saturated fats. Trans fats are icky.
  • Diet sodas are fine in moderation. I drink plenty of water and about 2-3 diet sodas per day, I prefer the coke zero ;-) I have heard many crazy things, some say they make you hungrier, but I don't experience this. I have heard they mimic carbohydrates, but the structure is completely different from a ribose or a glucose…
  • For problem #2, I have gotten it a few times, but only when I really push myself. I found this: http://www.webmd.com/heartburn-gerd/features/6-tips-ease-exercise-heartburn
  • I take B12 orally. I am a vegetarian and I am deficient in it. It gives me a lot more energy. It is a water soluble vitamin so there shouldn't be any negative side effects.

  • People still do low carb diets ? Meal timing is irrelevant. I eat close to bedtime as well. I do 40/40/20 (P/C/F), lift heavy 4 times per week, some cardio, and eat in a deficit. I eat Chipotle, chocolate, or whatever else I want as long as I have all my macros in for the day and I am still at a calorie deficit. Weight is…
  • 1. I'm 34 2. I live in DeKalb, Illinois (a hour from Chicago) 3. I am in my senior year as an honors Biochemistry/Premed major at NIU, planning on going to medical school. (Take MCAT next month, been studying for a month - pulling hair out). 4. Currently in a relationship, my other half is in Taiwan right now. He is a…
  • Rockin it gurl !!
  • Exactly. People try to over complicate weight loss. It is simply calories in versus calories burned. Calories are units of energy and must obey the laws of thermodynamics. The complication of weight loss began in the 90s when everything went low fat and people ignored Calories. The result: it lead to us being the most…
  • I lift heavy and need the extra energy to do so, that's why I wait to do cardio after my lifting.
