I was just checking out the T25 the other day and was ready to start it. The idea of a group would definitely help keep me motivated. Hope a guy can join in the group as I mainly see women posting so far ... lol.

I knew that I wasn't ready for the P90X program when I started working out. Why don't you suggest the Power 90 or Power 90 Masters Series for him to start with to "learn" the movements and get moving? They were the beginner levels for P90X. Just my 2 cents....

I was poking around on the Clif website and saw they have an Apricot flavor and also some seasonal (peppermint, pumpkin, and gingerbread). anyone tried those flavors?

I can understand the logic to this. Give the body the remainder of the day to burn off and digest the food. I know you shouldn't eat anything within 3 hours of going to bed, but I guess it all comes down to whatever your preference is.

If you find the seat is uncomfortable, definitely look into replacing it with something that is. No point in hurting yourself in the long run. I know I only lasted about 2 days on it before I needed a different seat. As for road bike, if you have the money to do it, go for it, but for the couple miles you are talking about…

When I started riding last year, it took a good couple weeks before I wasn't in pain. I would definitely recommend getting some different tires on the bike if you have the big knobby ones that come with most mountain bikes, get something rounder and smoother. I am no expert, but have a theory. The first lap or two are only listing that small of a burn as your heart rate though it has gone up, it wasn't a sustained rate. The longer time that it is elevated, the more burn would take place. Just my take, anyone else have ideas?
