If you make sure to cook them longer they shouldn't be gooey at all.

If fresh veggies are too expensive you can always buy frozen ones - they're great in the winter to throw into a soup, or mix in with pasta. Carrots are usually pretty cheap too - great to just cut up and have with some hummus. It's just a matter of thinking creatively with your food and buying in season. If you find some…

Great video. You look great :)

10 pounds in a month is awesome! You've totally got it and you'll make it to your goal in no time :)

My theory is that it's natural sugar so I'm not giving up my fruit. Bananas are a great recovery food after a work out too. I think the benefits outweigh any sugar negatives.

I've totally gotten that from people - saying I'm wasting away to nothing - which is totally NOT the case in any way shape or form - but they're all used to seeing me at a much higher weight. As long as you stay within a healthy weight range there is not problem with losing more weight. Just make sure you're incorporating…

I quit drinking too while I was initially losing - and now I barely drink - but my friends kept trying to get me to drink whenever I hung out with them, apparently me being sober made them feel weird....too bad. They've gotten used to it now. Just takes time.

figure out how many calories are in your favorite holiday treats beforehand - then when you're confronted with them you can decide whether you really really want to waste that many of your calories on a few seconds of mouth satisfaction. When you know that one little cookie has more calories than a more satisfying healthy…

When I was first losing I lost 10 pounds per month. I stuck to 1,200 calories and I rode an exercise bike about 10 to 20 miles a day. I ate lots of veggies and hummus - not a ton of calories and it fills you up. I would make myself tuna salad with a bunch of veggies like celery and pickles cut up it in it - you can make a…

I would say you TOTALLY rocked that goal! Make sure to post a pic of your ink once you get it :)

What a great reason to wake up in the middle of the night :) I hope that feeling sticks with you!

You look great! Keep up the awesome work!

Awesome job and Happy Birthday!

When I first started out I just kept my calories at 1,200 and rode an exercise bike almost every day whenever I watched tv or a movie - usually meant at least an hour of riding. What I found super helpful was that I only weighed myself once a month. I've been weighing myself every week lately and it's been super…

congratulations! Keep up the good work and keep moving in that healthy direction! :)

You're amazing and I totally agree! I lost most of my weight riding an exercise bike while I watched netflix movies. I wouldn't let myself watch them unless I was working out - got me down 40 pounds in 4 months.

I think as long as you don't get off track and stop doing it completely that taking a couple of days off is fine. It gives your body time to recover. I did the shred twice - the first time I did the 30 days straight through - it kind of drove me crazy - I would make my schedule really chaotic and missed doing some fun…

Keep going with the program. If you continue to work out while you're losing the weight you're more likely to avoid loose saggy skin. If you haven't been working out at all and just started then your muscles are likely to be retaining water etc. It's only been 11 days, don't get frustrated by the scale. You're making…

I went from 185 to 137 - I'm 5'7" too...still a work in progress. I did a lot of cardio when I lost the majority of the weight and I wish I had done more core strength training. I don't really have loose loose skin - just some places where it's not as smooth as I would like it to be - but I think strength training would…

That's awesome! Keep up the good work!

I would say make sure you're getting enough exercise in and bump your calories up to 1,400 or 1,500. I lost 40 lbs exercising and eating 1,200 calories but then I hit a plateau that I could not break for the life of me - it lasted about two years - I finally upped my calories to 1,500 and lost another 10 pounds. So don't…

I LOVE the Tough Mudder. Congrats on finishing!

I did it in May - I only got shocked once and it didn't hurt at all. I saw all those videos on-line of people screaming like they're in pain when they run through it - but when you stand there in person, they start screaming before they even hit the obstacle to pump themselves up. Not painful at all, and if you're worried…
