How could anyone be fed up with pics like that? Pics that show what hard work and determination will get ya?? Isn't that what we're here for? :) Good job--nooo, great job!

Ugh. That is where I'd set it to not subscribe to that person's news feed. :/ I've heard the hcg, the body wraps, the acai, the cabbage soup......blah. I think for most people it's just exercise and "diet"-what you eat. I will say I'm *trying* a lower carb thing right now. I'm very cranky though and if it doesn't work…

IDK, I love Slim Fast too (taste and filling me up wise) but after my OB told me that it has the equivalent of aspartame as a diet coke...which I never drink b/c I don't "do" fake sweeteners. Ugh. I never thought about it having that. :( I still have some that I will finish but I hope you can find something that's better…

That is amazing!!!! I didn't have twins but my belly was HUGE and I looked like I was having twins. You are giving me hope! ;)

Couldn't have said it better myself. I struggle with food addiction too. So many people had good advice. I say one day at a time. Just like a 12 step program. If you look at the over all picture of life as a whole it's overwhelming. To think of "the rest of your life" w/o the foods you crave!? So, just think: for today I…

Then I discovered that supplementing with Magnesium an hour or so before bed will relax muscles and encourage natural drowsiness (and no 'hangover' like you get with some sleep aids). ----quoted from a pp I was going to suggest magnesium. I take it b/c of restless leg syndrome. Maybe your body is just in shock. Kind of mad…

Very nice! And that is no joke to do 30 day shred! I LOVE your "back blob" term by the way. I'm totally stealing that to describe the "love handles"...which is the stupidest name I've ever heard for FAT. LOL

Don't have time to read all the responses yet but each individual (or the parent if it's a minor child) is responsible for what goes into his or her mouth. And when people take responsibility for it and stop blaming others.....there will be a change. :)

I love how you posted your pics (the timeline showing all the times of your life!) and you have done amazing! I don't know why you think you won't be "tiny"....you already look pretty small to me! :)

I work out at home-exclusively. And I won't buy expensive equipment, etc. As far as staying motivated, etc...you just have to want it. I don't always want to work out (in fact, I usually don't LOL--I tell my kids almost every day "Just for the record...I don't wanna") but I suck it up and do it. I try to do mine in the…

I was going to say body glide....but also recently thought of this cheaper option: what about deoderant!? It "glides" on and makes you less "sticky" under your arms, why not your thighs?? I plan to try it next time I run b/c the pain of what you are describing....is worse than the pain of running itself. :/

I agree with the previous posters that said you should talk openly to your friend (the bride) explaining the situation and if she doesn't understand....can anyone say bridezilla?? I hope she understands. Friends come and go FAMILY IS FOREVER.

If the question is just about regulating your period then it should help that. There are natural alternatives though. A lot of people gain weight on the pill and a lot don't. It's all about how your body reacts to it. I know there are some contraindications for it (smoking, over 35). Not sure if high bp is one or not. I…

I'm looking, I'm looking LOL. I would say substituting corn for flour (as in tortillas which I love LOVE love!) but I'm sensitive to corn! Ha. I hope to find more lower-ish carb substitutes soon b/c I'm HUNGRY. LOL

Yup!!!!! And often there are also charity programs that help women who are trying to get jobs and become self sufficient (away from abusers, off of welfare, etc) but just don't have the clothing to allow it....if you can find something like that!? Awesome!

Good job!

What a difference! How proud you must be! Keep up the good work.

Super job momma!!! I'm 4 babies out and searching for my abs too ;) Thanks for the encouragement....
-
Good job! And you're right, it's as much mental as it is physical-or more! Keep up the good work and you will get there!!!
-
Way to go!!!!! You have every right to be super proud and post away!!! Your story is the kind that keeps everyone going when they just don't think they can work out or skip the sweets!

Laugh. Out. Loud.

LOL, yeah, you did try! ;) and I WISH that was the case...I'd take it. Hmmm. I think I need to try that smoothie! I haven't had good luck with smoothies so I gave up. Seemed like I was wasting a LOT of food since no one really liked the ones I was making (not cheap food either!) Good idea though on the saving it so I don't…

Thanks everyone. Looks like the main theme of all the posts was LOG LOG LOG. LOL I know I need to. The stupid thing is, the more "natural" I eat the harder it is to log it (making a salad and figuring all the stuff-veggies only-is such a pain in the butt! whereas eating something processed is so easy b/c the calories and…

Kara (lol my name is Cara!)-I was logging for a long time but then was without my computer (in for repairs) and wasn't doing it anymore. I put yesterday's stuff in just to see how out of touch I had possibly become with my intake...but other than a celebratory dinner (4th of July) I'm not doing too badly....I am feeling…

fruits and veggies (baby carrots, etc) drink only water (other than your couple of beers I guess), if you grill burgers or hot dogs don't eat the bun, you could take chicken and grill it...skip the potato chips-if you must have some kind of "chippy" food eat fritos I think or veggie chips-which even my hubby likes!!!! we…

Great job! I hope the meds help you pick it back up b/c that can definitely be discouraging. Are you taking metformin?

I am nearing the end of my second round (1st was in Sept 2011). I lost quite a bit of inches but not much in lbs...it's a great workout though. I add in elliptical for more cardio. I take one break per week (Sundays) from all exercise. If I would do the diet plan better I'm quite sure my results would be more dramatic. :/…

Hmmm. I have been thinking about trying the south beach diet. I have PCOS which is an insulin resistance issue as much as a "female" issue....I know that I need to at least eat lower glycemic index foods....your story might just be another check mark in the "go for south beach" column....thanks for sharing!

That must've felt awesome! Good job!

LOL @ the tofu and seaweed!!! We just went to the chinese buffet on Saturday. Exercise extra??? Drink extra and try to sweat it out!? And let it go and enjoy your time with your dad...then at dinner eat fresh fruit and veggies maybe!?
