Well, good luck! Are you close?

Me? Yea, I'm still at the beginning, I've lost 20 #'s so far (10 was before mfp) and have roughly 100 #s more. I feel lucky that I don't think I look as overweight as I actually am. I'm a bit taller than average, so "hide" it well. I had to answer though, because you asked a question that kinda hit the head on the nail of…

Yea, I know I can't dictate where the inches come off, but I was there before, so am hoping for it again. My hope is for my waist measurement to be lower than my inseam (34"). I've lost 1 inch of my waist so far. How about you?

Ahh, yes, this will be an issue. Or rather, would have been...thanks for the tip!

Thanks! I tend to just go do things without asking questions and blunder my way through. Good to know I just need to build up. Full steam ahead!

I've always wanted to do a triathlon. In the past, running itself was never a problem, I enjoy running. And biking itself is never a problem, I enjoy biking even more so. However, putting the two together is where I have an issue. A few minutes into running after riding my bike, my legs are leaden and I struggle with…

Google him, see if anything pops up. Can you get the names of the other 2 women? All 3 of you should go to the owner and ask why he is still there, if he hasn't been fired. If 3 women went and complained, I'm guessing there's 3 or more that didn't. Does the company have a facebook account? You could bring up on facebook.…

Hmmm, when I entered my numbers, it was less than 30 calories difference (higher on the site you posted). When I entered a more intense activity (jogging instead of walking), the difference jumped to 65 calories. The only idea I have is maybe slightly different activities? Did you enter carrying weight one on site, but not…

Yay! It's great fun. Enjoy! This is the first I've seen HHH mentioned on these boards, and it's got me all excited to look back into it. (I had a foot injury, then moved and have no idea where the closest pack is around here) And speaking about the beer, my home hash had a...oh, what to call it? Backer? Benefactor?…

^^ This! If this piques your interest, even a bit, do it. Definitely. Seriously.

Wow. I'm not a personal trainer, nor a nutritionist. If fact, I'm a baker. So maybe that qualifies me to knowing the bad stuff? And this just sounds bad. 96 grams of fat? With only 1250 calories? I guess I'm repeating, to make sure this isn't a typo. That leaves you 386 other calories. For myself, I don't get anywhere near…

I vote visit a doctor, asap. By the way, you can pick up any type of allergy at any point in your life. They can disappear just as easily too, although that doesn't seem to be par for most folks.

La-la-love this!

I know we're not supposed to answer rudeness with more rudeness, so I think of this as more middle of the road. It's a statement, and needs no further comments from anyone, but sometimes it elicits an apology, it may not be sincere, but it makes them see the comment was out of line (although comments to me are for the…

Maybe strawberry shortcake with angel food cake instead? You can control the sugar if you make your own strawberry mixture. And I seem to remember that instead of whipped cream, you can whip up canned milk (evaporated milk). Just make sure it's chilled. I believe you can even use the nonfat canned milk and it works well.…

I was just going to edit to add cooking in iron skillets! Not weird at all, it really helps.

The fortified cereal is a great way to go since you don't eat red meat. Total has 100%. For something a bit cheaper, I found the Safeway brand called Multi Grain O's also has 100%, Wheat Chex has 80%. Like the others say, be sure to eat/drink vitamin C with these, it helps your body absorb the iron. And don't drink coffee…

^^ this. Good Earth has great teas. In addition to the Original Sweet & Spicy, the Apricot & Ginger is yummy and sweet enough on its own. goodearth.com

Focus on your studies. Then make some regular ol' friends, including other girls. Perhaps people from the area, they can help you with any issues that may or may not be cultural.

Sounds good, thanks for posting this.

Please let us know how you are, did you have someone that could drive you?

Thanks for the welcome, I love your biking story as well. Sounds, well that sounds just about heavenly. And I like what you list for your height! Maybe we can track our bike miles when we get back to it, on here. A monthly challenge/goal. Or I should say, I'm going to DO THIS, and would love for you (and others) to join in!

Hello, I love being taller too! I'm 6'2" and 290 right now, working my way to 190 or so. I wasn't paying attention between 6' and 6'2", so am unsure what my lowest weight was and will see how I feel then I get closer to 190. I was very active when I was younger and just slowed down as I got older. I'd always hiked and…

Did you find them? They're a topic under Message Boards, like General Diet and Weight Loss Help.

I've been losing, which is fantastic. I usually celebrate a 5 pound loss with food, so I'm really glad I (kinda) stopped lurking and finally joined a challenge, its kept me on track!

I've had plantar fasciitis also. Besides the wonderful advice from the others, can I add that your foot wants to heal when its resting, this is why it hurts so bad in the morning (or walking again after sitting for a bit), its ripping hundreds and hundreds of teeny tiny tears in the plantar fascia all over again, every…
