Congrats on shrinking out of your clothes! Definitely donate. I'd recommend Umom if there is one in your area.

Have been looking for this thread! Was gifted a package and it's been sitting in my fridge for inspiration. Bump.

My preference would be to date someone in my similar situation; with older kids and will be an empty nester in the next few years. While I'm interested in being supportive of a man being a father, one with younger kids isn't the ideal. The appeal of having young adults and the freedom to explore 'whims' is awesomely…

There were intentions of joking on you about the topic line.... Refusal to dumb down is about self-confidence. If a guy's preference is dumber and cutesy, he's relegated to the friend sand box, and not sharing my toys, unless I choose and purely for entertainment purposes. Kinda like a lioness playing with her food.......

Being 5'4 means most men are taller...Gotta say I love gettin' on tip toes for a kiss. However, I wouldn't mind being eye to eye barefoot....if he didn't mind me being 4 inches taller in my heels. OP - It's really about you! If you are attracted to a girl taller than you, go for it! Life is too damn short!

My daughter (who is an adult) called and asked if I'd take her. As a wonderful and attentive mother, I am bound to oblige her!

^^^ Like! Can identify with this!

The list is long and undistinguished.

1) being able to do a pull up 2) wearing a tight shirt with a pencil skirt and rocking it!

Roasted cherry tomatoes with salt, pepper and oregano! So good!

Starla5881, You have excellent taste! Doesn't just thinking about it make you thirsty!? ; )

^^^This! Bad beer is just hatin' on yourself. Save the calories or a workout session in the morning, but whatever you do, drink something you enjoy! IPAs like Racer 5, Scotch or Brown Ales like Kona Koko Brown are so worth the calories! Good luck!

Aw, man! I heard the Spartan is better than Warrior Dash...but the Az event is only weeks earlier than Tough Mudder! Might be an excellent warm up. If you're interested in TM, I think the team captain is open to increasing Bad *kitten* Mudders on his team.. Let me know if interested!

Congrats on your hard work! Keep it up! :flowerforyou:

This sounds *exactly* what I've been looking for in my crack diversification program! Field Trip!

Definitely a concern for me, too. For now, I'm doing hiking and hill training in the super early morning. Thinking heat conditioning could be positive if hydrated, sun-screened up and working up to extended periods of time (kind of like elevation conditioning). By July, I'll probably break down and join the gym, though!…

The guys at work and I are constantly daring each other to impart random mischievous uncomfortableness while we're at lunch...the most recent? Me, asking a waitress if she wanted to join me and and my 'husbands' for a drink later. One guy was dared to walk up to the hottest woman in the place, take a drink from her glass,…

Your post is fabulous! It's so easy to fall into the doldrums of a long terms goal and having an optimistic attitude makes all the difference! Thank you! :flowerforyou:

Lazing around beach side, drinking Jameson and cavorting with my favorite people! But, really, anything besides work! UGH!

I still think about chia pets when the seed topic comes up. : ) I add chia seeds to my protein shake. They expand in like a tapioca kind of gel, but I haven't noticed if they make me feel any fuller. I find them at whole foods. The omega3, antioxidants and fiber benefits are worth the calories! You should try them!

^^^ This! Like the OP, 40 was definitely a motivator. Having support in real life, MFP and a determined attitude makes all the difference! Strap in and enjoy the ride! Cheers!

Unfortunately the Sunday a.m. waves went fast. 5k in 90 degrees and muddy...that will be the best tasting beer EVER! :drinker:

I hear you! For me, it's a quality of lifestyle. I don't intend to stop drinking while I lose weight or when I hit my goal. Waaaay too many delicious brews and social fun to be had! A calorie is a calorie, so I try to work alcohol into my daily intake. If I know I'm going out in advance, I will get a sweaty long workout…

The 28th is sold out! In the 12:30 wave on the 29th.

Thanks for this info! Chomping at the bit for my first run and this is super helpful.
