I really like bigger, taller guys. I'm 5'3" and my husband is 6'4". I don't think I ever dated anyone under 6ft, but it wasn't like being shorter was a dealbreaker.

Congratulations! You are an absolutely glowing bride! I love that your husband made your headpiece, too.

I'd love to have some more nerdy friends! I'm a huge Trekkie and Whovian (my car has a "My other car is a TARDIS" magnet and a "My other car has warp nacelles" one is on order). I named my oldest kid Will Robinson and my youngest after Leonardo da Vinci/Galileo, for crying out loud. I love science and sci-fi. I wish I were…

I agree with previous posters: My first two thoughts were Thomas the Tank Engine and Doctor Who. Both have been stuck in my head for weeks at a time. I'll also add a vote for Star Trek, both old school and NG.

Minnesota girl (originally from Michigan) here too! Us Northern/Midwestern girls have gotta be hot to stand up to the winters around here!
-
Yup, some of us do. ;) For me personally, I like seeing my body get more and more defined and muscular, and I applaud those who put in the work to get ripped. :)

Aaaaand this just officially became my favorite thread on MFP ever. From hump rate monitor to bedsport - just AWESOME.

My HRM says I burn a lot more than the MFP database too! I usually eat some, if not all of my exercise calories back, and when I was eating back what my HRM said I burned, I maintained and even gained a pound. But MFP's estimate seems really low, and only eating back those calories left me still hungry. So now I average…

OK, I'm game. It's so cold in MN today, just thinking about bikini weather makes me feel a little better. I'm loving seeing all the beautiful ladies in their beach best! Maybe we could get a thread like this started for the gentlemen? Only, I'm thinking swim trunks instead of bikinis. Hopefully I get the…

Totally agree with previous posters' suggestions of Closer and Bad Things. Otherwise, I think I'd go with some Tom Waits - either Filipino Box Spring Hog or God's Away on Business. His voice just seems made for the pole to me.
-
I have a pair of Bear Paws in black and brown too - love them! Just a ballpark number, but I'd say I have somewhere around 40, maybe? I recently thinned them out, but I'm always looking for new ones. I love shoes. Even my two little boys get excited when a Zappos box arrives - train 'em young.
-
Both, but if I was forced to choose between them, I'd go Star Trek. I am a huge NG and Voyager fan.

I can definitely relate with PP's about kids, boobs, and being a lawyer. Also, why do people take one step back from you when they find out you're a lawyer? I don't have the power to sue you with my touch. My "it" relates to my kids. I have 2 boys, so either get "are you going to try for a girl now?" or "were you…

I needed this today! 1. My two-year-old told me he was "mine baby." 2. Today is the 15th anniversary of the first time my husband and I kissed. And, not only did he remember, he brought home flowers and cake. 3. I took a much needed nap!

I'm 5'3", and my current goal is 115. I'm still nursing my 2 year old, so I'm not worrying about the speed of my weight loss. Maybe once he's decided to wean, I might shoot for a goal in the 110-112 range, depends on how I feel. I have a small frame, but I still want to be strong.

Carrots and tomatoes! No joke. I've done the airbrush tan in a salon (where a person actually sprays you tan, not a booth), and that turns out very well too.

Found these while I was hunting for gif for this thread, and thought if anyone would appreciate them, you guys would. http://www.etsy.com/listing/79168443/any-3-doctor-who-poster-collection I neeeeed these!

Oooh, me! I have a magnet on my car that says "My other car is a TARDIS.". I am obsessed. I love David Tennant... He will always be "my Doctor." Loved Rose and Donna, but Amy is kind of meh for me, although she is HOT. Ok, my attempt at a Doctor gif... Excuse my inexperience if it fails... :blushing:

Oh! Me too! I've met: Penn Jillette (he asked me to grab his @SS and I gladly did so  ) Alton Brown Tori Amos Jack Kevorkian

I'd choose the first one, myself. The neckline on the second one seems a little off.

Snog. So pretty... :flowerforyou: Ha! The pretty comment was directed at Valerie...

NPR just posted a list of listeners' favorite workout songs, if you're interested: http://www.npr.org/2012/01/13/145185920/the-ultimate-npr-workout-mix?sc=fb&cc=fmp I like to feel like I'm in a rave or a club when I'm working out, so i can lose myself in the music. One of my favorites now is Jump! by Cerla and Manian.

Actually, it is. If a company is telling the public that a product lowers cholesterol, what does it matter if that product is Lipitor or breakfast cereal? Both products are regulated by the FDA and both need to bring evidence to support their claims. I have worked for several medical device companies, getting products…

Love this! Congrats to your nephew!

I agree! Although, I guess really *we're* the ones with accents... It's their language, after all.

Love quinoa! I get the big bag at Costco and use it to replace white rice. A couple favorite recipes: http://www.care2.com/greenliving/sexy-vegetarian-recipe-summer-basil-quinoa-salad.html http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2010/04/ridiculously-easy-curried-chickpeas-quinoa.html

This. It might be tied with She's Got A Way, though. So many good songs to choose from.
