Robin Williams, Ron White, Jeff Dunham, Louis C.K., John C. McGinley, and just so it's not a sausage fest-- Margaret Cho. We'd be laughing our *kitten* off too much to care that my dinner would probably suck compared to the normal stuff these stars get to eat! I'd just have to get a LOT of liquor.

Ice cream cake. Best of both worlds!

For some reason, the first thing that popped into my head when I read the title was this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RH1ekuvSYzE

Paulie Walnuts reporting in. "You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty." --Ghandi (I have to tell myself this one every time I go on the forums!) "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit."…

My boyfriend and I tried to go for a walk together, but the weather was just too yucky and we barely made it two blocks before giving up. So we came back inside, cranked up the music, and danced around like idiots for a while instead  edit: And I just barely managed to squeeze under my cal goal! Woo.

Thank you for the thorough response, a lot of good advice in here. I do vary up my workouts already, and the pool is opening this weekend so I will look into purchasing a weight belt!

You're eating fine, but I'd try to get more produce and fiber in there, you need a better variety of nutrients. Treat yourself once in a while with a calorie-dense dessert or whatever other food you like. Also, take a multivitamin if you're not already. But if you start to feel lightheaded, or see the scale stop moving,…

Bahahaha. It was worth coming to this thread for the vid, thanks for sharing!

When you live with an addict-- especially one out of rehab and at extreme risk for relapsing-- you get to a point in the road of recovery where you can see a habit forming, or an imminent relapse, but you don't really have concrete proof. You don't want to make unfounded accusations, especially to your loved one. So you…

Dealing with "real life issues" in the moment is hard for everyone. Lying and stealing is just as much of an issue as the addiction, they are symptoms that put strain on the marriage and make it impossible to maintain trust-- a key component of any successful relationship. Not really sure how her feelings of upset and…

Team Paulie I am doing this challenge to hold myself accountable and to keep myself from falling off the wagon completely. When I am the only one motivating myself, I fail. But being part of a challenge and being involved in a little competitive fun keeps me spurred on towards a healthier, happier me  I will not be…

Thank you for all the advice, everyone, I am going to try and get him to make himself an appointment with his family doctor for a physical, and we'll go from there.

He's going to be 25 this weekend, and I'm 25 also. We both live near Chicago in the USA. I will always love and encourage him, just like I will also always love and encourage my ex, who also struggled with depression and horrific events that happened in her childhood. I don't actually want to cut him loose, which is why I…

He knows he's depressed, he has been for several years-- I think it's gotten to the point now where he uses it as a crutch ("I can't feel motivated" "I can't want to do things" "I can't fix myself"). I realize that depression is a long process that is not "fixed" overnight, and usually it never goes away completely (I…

I have tried to get my boyfriend to be more active-- he used to lift weights a lot, so sometimes I get him to go to the gym with me, though most of the time he declines. We also take walks sometimes, but he simply runs out of energy before I do, so when I want a serious workout I just go by myself. How was your husband…

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry to hear you had to go through all that. I have already ended one bad relationship (unsurprisingly, with another mentally traumatized person), and it was very difficult to do, but believe me, my survival instinct will kick in if it has to. It just makes me so sad because when he is…

Thank you for your suggestions, what do you mean by daily affirmations? He is seeing a therapist-- I forgot to mention that in the OP. But it hasn't been regular, since he's switched therapists twice this year already and has had to skip / reschedule a couple sessions because his mother prefers that he doesn't drive…

(respectfully) hijacking your post to put a better quality gif in, just cuz I love RDJ so damn much.

I recently injured my arm (elbow & wrist), and was taking large quantities of ibuprofen and other NSAID's (Aleve and similar knockoffs). I was devastated to realize that I had gained a whopping 5 lbs in less than a week!! When I read up about it online, I found a couple tips-- Try to have a low-sodium diet, and make SURE…

I've gained weight due to taking a lot of ibuprofen and other NSAID's this week because of an injury :'( so zero contribution for me this week, sorry team Paulie. Hopefully next week I'll have a loss!

Because everyone on the forum is dumb. QED every thread posted is, therefore, dumb.

I like Biore moisturizers, they tend to have spf in them if you don't need it stronger than 15.

This this this. More people should be thinking like this!

You stay classy.

^this, and I would also like to add: OP, and many others, do not seem to grasp the very simple concept of trigger foods. You can talk about "self-control", "discipline" and "willpower" until you're blue in the face but at the end of the day, certain people have legitimate problems with being able to resist certain foods.…

It's been 'a while', eh? Like what, a week?

So keeping quiet about (highly probable) illegal activities-- which could get you or other co-workers fired, or worse-- reflects 'good' behavior, as opposed to being a snitch and revealing your alleged issues of character which is 'bad'...? How does that logic work, exactly? I'm a bit confused here.
