  • Are we still posting here? I've completed today's challenge and the bonus of 10 extra... my wrists hurt...
  • Is this what we are supposed to do? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKjcgfu44sI Because the explanation in the post doesn't sound like it, but the way I first tried -- suspending my body weight between 2 chairs, 1 hand on each chair-- was literally impossible for me to do. This is what I will be doing unless someone else…
  • That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. But THC is a drug regulated and approved by the FDA -- the reason it remains a criminalized substance is because decriminalizing it would a) make the government less money and b) admit defeat of the illusory "War on Drugs". Please think before you patronize!
  • I would still smoke every single day if I didn't have that happen, lol!! Unfortunately, though I learned to curb it most of the time, a lot of my binge-eating was tied to smoking simply because food tasted so MAGICAL.
  • Oh I don't blame weed for anything. It has never done me wrong  and even when I smoked daily, I still went to work and school and did what I needed to do. The problem lies with me -- like you say, I can't utilize moderation with it any more. If it's anywhere around me I WILL smoke it until it's gone... and then…
  • Some days I eat breakfast, some days I don't. I usually keep it pretty light if I eat before work, like a banana or small muffin / handful of nuts. At work lately I've been stashing a bag of sunflower nuts in my cubby to nom on, but I also like dry cereal, beef jerky, or yogurt. Anything with a good source of protein is…
  • I would like to get to that point, but right now I can't seem to smoke it once without wanting to smoke it daily and in massive quantities  so away it goes!

  • Perhaps! The bill (for medical use, at least) has passed the House of Representatives, and now just has to pass the Senate. If I ever get cancer, or some other awful disease, it would be awesome just to smoke weed all day... however, if recreational use is never legalized, I won't feel cheated.
  • True... but then a few hours after said bowl they are burnt-out and irritated. I know, because that was me.
  • Same! I used to find it ridiculous that my friends were spending $120 a week on it... then I became one of those people... :-/
  •
  • Haha, but you don't take tylenol pm first thing in the morning! Wake 'n' bakes were my daily routine for way too long.
  • So 11 people now speak for the masses? Huh. Cuz that's not a ridiculously small sample or anything... All I was trying to point out is that not EVERY MFP user starts off believing this crap, in contradiction to the generalization of the post I initially replied to ("you'd all be listening to Dr. Oz")
  • As long as you meet your macronutrient goals (carbs, protein, and fats), it doesn't really matter what those foods are. Yes, there will be people who will argue that point, but I am of the opinion that people should eat whatever they want to, within reason of course. That being said, "unhealthy food" is generally going to…
  • It's embarrassing to be sure -- I had to purchase 2 seats for my ex when she came to visit me. However, I agree with both sides. I do wish that airlines would focus more on passenger comfort (i.e. charging just a bit more money per seat and actually giving some SPACE), instead of trying to cram people in like chattel just…
  • I am pretty sure that regardless of what anyone has told me on this site-- and I have learned a lot both from "rude and nasty" people and the nicer ones-- that I wasn't about to fall for Dr. Oz or other fad diets simply due to not being educated by forum crawlers. Give us a little credit.
  • Hullo there. I'm Amber, been on MFP for a while but have only been serious with it since last November. I'm 25, live with my boyfriend, and enjoy playing League of Legends and watching Netflix with him. I work and go to school part-time, but will be finishing the semester soon and starting a second job (at a water park!)…
  • You're thinking about this all wrong. Instead of "dreading" the challenge because someone has stolen the limelight from you, take it as a sign that you are being a good example to those around you, and that your decisions to be healthy have in turn affected others who are wanting to be healthy too. That is a good thing!!…
  • You're still missing the point -- OP was not asking for approval for her marriage. She was asking on opinions on how to get married. The initial comment about "rushing to get married" was off-topic, plain and simple.
  • Eh, do whatever the two of you want. But just be prepared for the inevitable backlash-- my boyfriend's brother and his wife eloped, and didn't tell anyone. His mother found out when the photos were posted on Facebook, and she was noooot very happy about that! However, the two of you are adults capable of making your own…
  • When I went to Wal-Mart today, it was so very difficult to resist getting a Subway sandwich... it smelled so good and I was so hungry!! But I bought a protein drink instead. We can do it!
  • I used to work at a hotel (back when I was 30 lbs heavier), and the lady who served breakfast in the mornings was a tiny, angry 60-year-old. When I was going around cleaning and vacuuming the lobby, I winced, because my knees were hurting. She asked if I was all right, and I told her, and her blunt response was: "Lose 20…
  • :-/ Since when is wishing for government reform and being dissatisfied with the current state of affairs "having no allegiance to the U.S."? I love my country, I really do. I just wish that more people in power would act like they do, instead of wasting what little money I make on sessions that accomplish literally…
  • Hear hear!
  • This this this. Though, unfortunately, my Poly Sci teacher has now planted the seed of conspiracy in my brain about the Boston bombing, saying that it could possibly be a diversion attracting national attention away from the negotiations with North Korea... I'm not saying I buy into it, but the seed is there and now I…
  • Haha, I approve of all of these quotes.
  • Huh. Well, that's a new perspective on that subject that I haven't seen before. I disagree, though, that marriage is a strictly religious institution. There are plenty of "traditional marriages" happening nowadays without supervision from God or a Church of any kind... does that make them not "real" marriages? I do not…
