Depends, did you order extra sausage?

Finally, a zombie thread I can get behind :drinker:

More coffee.

Yup, all the time. It's definitely problematic in terms of weight loss, because drunk me loves to bake, and has the capacity to eat an entire pan or batch of whatever. Fortunately, sober me is much better about that, or about giving baked goods away.

Yep, super chewy. I thought they were disgusting, but didn't read about microwaving them until I'd eaten the two I'd bought, so I might give them another try and reheat them. You can probably buy them singly at GNC or some place like that. I found them for individual sale at one of the local grocery stores (Hyvee, but…

I still drink fairly regularly, though I do so primarily on weekends now. Also, this thread title makes me think of that Gogol Bordello song.... "I've been waitin' long, long time - alcohol/now you teach me how to rhyme - alcohol/just don't stab me in the back with cortisol" :drinker:

Currently at about 2200, and I didn't even celebrate the holiday :embarassed: That's what happens on baking/cooking days, though. Gotta try some of everything, and if it's cookies, one or two...or four :drinker:

Also, if you have something like a fresh vegetable or a piece of meat from a butcher that does not have nutritional information on the package, make sure that when you search for the item in the database, look for an entry that has been provided by MFP itself, not a user. The user-submitted entries have asterisks next to…

I like it plain, or with pepper, or with fruit (especially mandarin orange slices), but my most recent method of eating it is with cocoa powder and honey. I have been eating that every single day for like three months now.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with eating late at night. I usually have a bedtime snack immediately before bed. I basically eat from about 6 pm until bedtime. Quest bars or whatever else you want (provided it fits your caloric goals and macros reasonably well) are fine. This article is specifically talking about why…

I just picked up a few at my local Hyvee (midwestern grocery store chain). Not all of the Hyvees in the area seem to have them, although they all have Clif bars. You might also try GNCs or other similar stores. I thought the ones I bought were pretty gross, but I know a lot of people are fans. I also tried their protein…

I don't have any hard and fast rules about my eating habits, but I generally just have coffee in the mornings, and then either nothing until I get home from work or a Clif bar, baked oatmeal, or something similar between 2 and 4pm and iced coffee with a little milk when I get home. I like to eat something small like that…

I usually roll out of bed, start coffee, and get on the elliptical. But I also have a tendency to midnight snack, so it's never been all THAT long since I last ate. And I don't usually do more than moderate intensity cardio anyway. If you're feeling that drained, are you sure you're getting enough rest/fuel?

I do Pump once a week at the gym, and I really enjoy it. I like it to add variety to my routine, I like working out to music, I like the "choreography" aspect of it, and it really brings out my competitive side. Plus, when I was really new to weights it was helpful to see lifting moves demonstrated by an instructor and…

Agree - the worst is when you are looking forward for days to a meal or item and it falls flat. I had been looking forward to going to a local bakery for days, and finally went yesterday. I do not regret the cupcakes, salted caramel cake, and red bean stuffed sweet bread that I ate. But they all failed to live up to my…

I've never baked with the mix, but personally, I'd probably put it in muffins or quick bread. Something like http://nubbs75.wordpress.com/2012/11/25/pumpkin-pie-muffins-leftover-pie-filling/ or http://www.cakemixdoctor.com/recipe/big-batch-pumpkin-bread/ But I bet if you went to the product's website they'd have a lot of…

Roasted pumpkin curry. Seriously amazing.

I am the opposite of this - I eat around the edges, and then eat the middle. I do this with any round food, actually, except for crackers. Hamburgers, Reese's, and type of sandwich - gotta eat the edges first. I also really love foods that are borderline burned. Not all foods, but things like toast, or fried eggs, or…

All solid advice/info, thanks everyone!

I'd be curious to hear more about this, as well, since I've seen a split stance for OHP recommended on some websites (e.g., http://www.acefitness.org/exercise-library-details/0/71/) but can't really find any solid information either way.
-
Agree with this, certainly, but from the (admittedly, not very in-depth) reading I'd done, I had gotten the impression that the increased risk of injury was due to the chance of dropping the bar on the spine, so wasn't sure if there were additional reasons to avoid it. Sounds like there definitely are!
-
Bummer, but good to know. Also, interesting link, thanks!

This, too. I do most of my working out at home, so I didn't have to worry about contaminating anyone else, but common courtesy (and the rules of my gym) dictate not spreading that s*!& around.

I always feel sketchy giving any kind of advice when it comes to illness, especially since it's hard for someone else to gauge the extent of your illness, etc. But that being said, I had a fairly heinous cold about two weeks ago and was googling on this same subject, found this article:…

If I wasn't at work, I'd have a gif for this :grumble: , but.... ....I'll be in my bunk.....

Welcome to MFP! There is some great information here. I would also recommend reading: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants?hl=sexypants My main advice is to find people on the forums who provide solid information, and stalk them. Well, not literally. Maybe.…

Meeeee. I'm a social worker in a psychiatric group home. Holidays off don't happen so much when you work in a 24/7 facility. :ohwell:
-
Yup. I do like 85% of my eating after I get home from work. I also pre-log my food for the day in the morning, as this helps keep me on track and helps me meet my protein macro.
-
Feel free to add me. I'm on every day. I may have my periods when my eating isn't so great (e.g., two weeks ago >.> ) but I always get back on track eventually. I enjoy reading about the science behind fitness, and am working toward being the strongest and fittest I've been in my life.
