It's not exactly a current obsession, but I can basically eat a tub of this in a sitting with veggies or pita chips.

There are some good bodyweight programs in this thread, though some aren't aren't linked. I especially like the nerd fitness one: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10332083/which-lifting-program-is-the-best-for-you/p1

There are some useful bodyweight programs on this thread, as well as programs using dumbbells. I work out exclusively at home and ended up spending a minimal amount on some dumbbells, a bench, and a barbell set and rack. It's been worth every penny.…

Feel free to add me! I am a fellow geek - comic books, video games (when I can make time, anyway - state of decay is my current go-to because I can pick it up and play for 20 minutes and not need to remember a plot), board games, and the like. Almost all my workout tv shows are geeky - the gifted, runaways, izombie, etc…

Not exactly unusual, but my workout buddy is fully convinced that she is providing value contributions to my routine all times:

5'2 here! Every extra pound is more obvious on us poor shorties! Plus I get envious every time I look at how many more calories tall people get, the jerks! :D Currently at 138, but aiming to get down to 130. It's a slow process at this point :s

Feel free to add me :) I strength train 4x/week and do some cardio pretty much every day because my job mostly involves sitting on my butt. I love trail running but don't live in a place at the moment where that's an option, so mostly it's just lifting and the elliptical at the moment. I do the cardio so I can continue to…

I haven't tried the vanilla flavor, but my go to is usually Trutein. You can usually order samples from their website if you wanted to try it out without dropping a bunch of money on a tub of something that ends up tasting like glue.

Hands down, hot sauce. All kinds, colors, and varieties. <3 <3

Yep, there are lots of good threads out there if you poke around a bit. I'm an IFer by nature, so it's been a little bizarre for me to see it become such a bit trend lately. It helps me to create a calorie deficit while still having a large dinner, which is my preference, but it's no magic bullet. Calorie deficit is king.

I started MFP when I was 25, but I'm 33 now, sooo... I have gotten much healthier in my later 20s and early 30s. I've been a happy maintainer for several years, but moved across the country two years ago. This turned out to be a mistake, and I gained 10 or 15lb the first year and a half or so. I've taken that back off, but…

I have a knock-off brand, Woss. It doesn't have as much adjustability as the name brand TRX straps, but it's fine for most things. I primarily use it for core work lately, though I follow a video workout every so often. There's a "TRX Force Tactical" workout series that is killer. I really enjoyed TRX classes at the gym -…

I'm always envious and resentful of men the day or two after leg day :D For me, it's usually my hamstrings. Second would be my abs, especially if I've done a lot of decline push-ups

One thing that really stands out to me after reading this thread is how your tone has changed just over the last few days. You seem so much more positive, cheerful, and energetic than you did initially. Congratulations on your accomplishments! You conquered those obstacles! You will likely have to reconquer them again some…

I have an almost completely sedentary job, so I try to do some intentional cardio most days just to compensate for being a lazy bish all day at work. So I get in a LOT of tv watching. Mostly goofy, actiony things on Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon. I just finished watching Eureka, and am currently rewatching Fringe, because…

:D :D :D I am turning 34 in March. In another couple years I'll hit my 10 year anniversary on MFP, which is mental. OP, you're going to turn 31 and 32 and 33 and so on regardless (hopefully...), so it's up to you whether you want to be the same person you are now when you hit those milestones, or if you want to be the…

I do this naturally by preference, and always have, because I prefer a large evening meal and a bedtime snack. As others have said, it's not a magic bullet - you still need to set your calorie goal and stick to it. Some people find it easier to adhere to calorie deficit following this kind of eating pattern. You might find…

I'm the opposite of a lot of folks here in that it's been a challenge. I didn't stop logging, and I've already lost the couple pounds the scale went up during the holidays, but I've been struggling to get lower than maintenance calories the past couple weeks. I actually did better over the holidays than in the week or so…

As others have said, IF is just a way of eating that helps some people to eat in a calorie deficit. It's not the timing of the eating that matters - unless you're a competitive or endurance athlete meal timing is largely down to preference. The key factor is the calorie deficit itself. Keep in a calorie deficit, be patient…

Just another vote for barefoot lifting here. I find it easier to maintain good form and balance. I haven't dropped anything on my feet yet (although I probably just jinxed myself :s)

Same here - I've averaged 3k+ calories the past two days and that's with attempting to be mindful. Snacks can add up awfully quickly, even if they don't fill me up. I could do some pretty serious damage to a holiday spread :D B) But it's also just a single period of time that occurs just once a year. Family and feasting go…

Basically every vegetable in existence is delicious roasted, in my opinion. It's also exceptionally easy, though not as fast as, say, boiling a vegetable - and much tastier, IMO. Wash, trim, drizzle with olive oil and salt and pepper, add other spices to taste and roast in a ~450 degree oven until done to taste. Length of…

Today I'm planning to eat a whole lot of smoked oysters because in my family they're a holiday food and I've been really craving them now that it's December. But I bought them on impulse from the grocery store, and now I need to adjust my pre-logged diary to make room for them. And thai red coconut curry with butternut…

I made applesauce 🤔

This. I'm 5'2 and currently bouncing around between 135 and 138, but I've also lifted for several years and have some (not a lot...!) of ab and glute definition at this weight. I doubt I'd want to get below 125; I worked hard for this extra muscle weight I put on. I'm aiming for 130 and will reassess from there. I'm pretty…

This. I have tried black bean brownies, chickpea blondies, cauliflower crust pizza, faux banana ice cream, faux noodles made from squash, slimfast and other meal replacement shakes and about a million other products that I can't currently remember and they were all abominable. It took me a few years to wise up ans figure…

That would be a really useful feature, actually. I wish it did exist.
