I also function quite well with a ratio of 1400 for myself and 300 for the baby, which means that I net at LEAST 1700 calories a day. Okay have a mountain bike ride in the works for Monday. Going to scout the two trails in my area rated as easy on foot and then pick which one to do with the bikes, since neither of us has ridden in quite a while LOL

I like to do stuff that achieves both =P But I only do things if I like it. I have a hella time sticking with it if I don't like the way it feels at the end. Not saying I don't cuss in the midst of it but if I feel good at the end then I keep it around longer lol... Especially if I get good numbers on the HRM LOL...

This is what I did recently. The 300 calories seems to be working really well and I haven't noticed any issues at all with the milk supply. Bump up your calories a 100 at a time until you get where you want to be at... I nurse a ten month old right now and my body likes to be between 1700 and 1900 calories to maintain my current supply. There are also days that I feel less/more hungry and I just meet what I am needing that day.

Right there with ya... I would far rather curl up with a great cup of coffee and an awesome book than pant and cuss at JM on the TV! There are days I have to sit back and remind myself why I care so much about all this!!
