  • I used to stay up if I did anything after about 6, but now I hit the gym for a couple of hours at 7pm, then take a sauna and shower. When I get home I have a tea and something to eat and I'm BEAT. I had to go to the gym in the morning one day last week and wished it had been later in the day. I love it!
  • I used to not do it, but I'm trying to be better. Over the weekend I didn't log, but it was because we were out of town and eating on the go at relatives homes. I ate reasonable sized portions, and chose the healthiest options. Now, when I eat a piece of candy or a bowl of ice cream, I log it and move on. Like someone else…
  • Well, the answer is twofold. I have a significant scoliosis and my back isn't strong enough for things like a normal crunch, or supporting weights on my shoulders for a traditional weighted squat. The second issue, is that I have a diastisis recti (my ab muscles never fully came back together after having baby #3) so by…
  • I started with C25K as well. Then I lost interest. I did other cardio to build up some stamina, but when I finally got back into running, I started with intervals of walking/jogging. Even if it was slow, at least I was moving.
  • I do the hip abduction/adduction and leg press machines (both fully inclined and reclined), they really help build the muscle. The only way I can actually SEE the muscle though, is by watching what I eat and doing my cardio to get rid of the fat.
  • My older two are almost 6 and 7. We just simply don't keep junk food in the house, so when they DO ask, it's always for a fruit or something healthy. I have them ask and I almost always say yes, unless it's close to a meal time. They will eat a full meal of fruit and not touch their dinner. I send water in their lunches…
  • I saw a picture of myself and didn't realize how big my arms were.... or my butt. I realized that I was rushing to take care of everyone else and had just started shoving food in my face and calling whatever daily tasks I had "exercise." Also, when my kids refused to let anyone else help them, with anything, I knew…
  • I did. And I failed. I do evening work outs, and that coupled with my kids after school speech therapy, I have to get back on the bandwagon. I have a themed night each day of the week so it's pretty easy to know every Wed. is crock pot night, Monday Italian, etc.
  • I just sent you a request too. :D I'm a mom with 3 kids, I'll do my best to keep you honest if you do the same ;)
  • Hi! I'm back on the bandwagon too, and new to the boards. My kids are 6, 5, and 2. Go ahead and add me!
  • I head to the gym after my husband comes home from work. I go 3-4 days a week. I usually get everyone dinner and ready for bed so he just has to put them in bed. He works about 60 hours at the office a week and then remotely from home once he's here as well. He gets up and goes in the mornings before work. I usually get to…
  • This is the biggest thing I'm working on too. I upped my running to get rid of some extra fat around the middle and am back to working on some core strengthening exercises that don't involve crunches that my PT had me doing before getting pregnant with our 3rd. I have a diastsis that I'm working on getting back together,…
  • I usually spot for a week before AF shows in full stride and I had a REALLY rough run on day 1 of that last week. I thought it was because I was running in the morning vs. the evening like I normally do. It makes sense to me. I was still motivated to be there and get it done, but it was surely a struggle and wanted to do a…
