So, it's been one week since that photo was posted originally...the jeans that I was barely fitting into (actually had trouble bending over to tie my shoes/put anything in my pockets)...I just spent an entire shift at work wishing I'd worn a belt with them because they've begun falling down (not shrunk down, either...fresh…

The last few times I've gone in for my annual exams, I've been told that I needed to get my weight down, and when I broke my foot 3 years ago, same thing...I was told I was way too heavy for the bones in my foot (stress fracture from jumping wrong).

For my height, most BMI indexes put me at an optimal weight of about 110 or so, but my Dr. a few years ago (can't afford to go and have it re-checked) said 140 was much more reasonable...not sure what that means though! LOL So, I'm aiming for 140, and will re-assess when I get there.

I do my treadmill in intervals (usually 1 to 1:30 minute intervals), start walking at 3.5 on a 3 incline (not sure the %), then bump it to 3.8 with a 11 incline, then run at about 6.5 on the 3 again. Rinse and repeat.

Since I'm usually picking up my husband from work less than a block away, I just put up with it lol. I figure I have to be there anyway, may as well work out at the gym that has a trainer any time I need to get help on my program then to pay the extra for a gym where I'd have to pay an additional $40 every time I want to…

I've been trying for years to lose weight and get in shape without going to a gym...then something clicked in me...I always would say I didn't have to do it today, it was OK if I went a couple weeks without working out, I'd get back on the wagon next month, new years was right around the corner...for 14 years. Paying for a…

Thanks for all the great encouragement :) I haven't been watching the forums per se since before Christmas :)

Depending on traffic, the gym takes anywhere from 20 minutes to 40 minutes (by interstate and street) for me to get to...There is one that is about a 5 minute walk from my apartment, but they charge something like $70 per month compared to $20 for the one I go to.

bump! :D

That's so beautiful...Thank you for posting this!

Course, my husband is used to me not wearing my ring around the farm either...I've seen too many incidents of the ring getting caught in a cinch and the finger ripped off to risk it...
-
I don't wear mine because it HAS fallen off while I'm on the treadmill before...

My mother would have taken me out of the store (without buying anything) immediately, gone home, and I would have been spanked and/or grounded for acting like that.

I think we've actually spent more on food because the processed stuff is so much cheaper...We've actually had to choose processed stuff that's not as high in calories because we can't afford produce or whole foods...it generally spoils within 24 to 48 hours when we buy it :(...

It depends...if I work days, I go with my husband at 5:30ish, if I work evenings, I go at 11 AM, and if I work overnights, I go at about 8PM.

You can do it :) PT can be hard, but it's so worth it, just take it one day at a time, and track everything you eat! :)

We hit the door at about the same time :)

It'd be nice to be able to wear a skirt/shorts and NOT get a heat rash down there...so in some cases, yes :D

Before lunch is when I've found :)

What has helped me keep from binging is to find something I can do to have the tastes I like, and still maintain my calories... For example, I have two things that I used to binge on - soda (sometimes up to 10 to 15 twenty ounce bottles a day), and potato chips (you know that bag you get for $4.99 at the supermarket? The…

A character in a book named Drizzt Do'Urden...I think I read every book about him growing up multiple times!

From what I understand, 1200 is the bare minimum for the human body to function...

I eat what I can afford that is quick and easy for my hubby to make and is as low cal as we can get for our budget/location/time frame...Where I live, you can buy produce, get it home, cut into it, and discover it's rotten...so we just don't buy produce any more.

Try adding bananas to your diet :)

I need the number on the scale to be below a certain number for the bones in my foot, but it's so nice to see the inches falling off :) So for me, right now, it has to be the scale (using the inches as motivation), and in 20 pounds, it'll totally be inches :)

but that's the way we get you to agree!

I can do 25 from my knees without stopping (can't do the normals due to my foot), it was like 3 in September...so all that strength training is doing something!
