  • Well I will just say to you that you CAN & WILL do it if you just follow the process, are honest, and try your hardest to do the best you can every single day! Trust MFP, I did, and I am at 102 pounds gone and have never felt this good in m life! Even though I still have a bit to lose I have never been this fit! Stick with…

The topic will be "6 week PUSH YOURSELF challenge - week 1" then week 2, week 3, etc. That was it won't be just one post getting bigger and bigger and bigger. You can easily find something that you responded to, as well, by clicking on…
  • @ Wonder_Vegan You can wear the HRM all day, if that is something that you want to do on your own. But, for the purpose of our challenge you will just use the calories burned, per your HRM, during exercise. I will be doing both, as well. Both minutes and calories because I need to push myself even further.
  • Yay Em, I was wondering why you hadn't answered yet but I just saw your post about leaving work so late! Fabulous idea about posting something about yourself! It would be nice to know a little bit about those we are motivating with! This will lead you right up to the race, that's awesome! I am really getting excited about…
  • This is going to be an awesome challenge everyone! We have a lot of people that want to be a part of this!
  • NO WEIGH IN's! I am on sabbatical from the scale, for now, and so are a couple of other people from my friends list! This is not about our weight this is about moving our bodies, getting a good amount of cardio, getting in strength training, drinking water, and motivation.
  • I forgot to put in how it is we will check in! I will post a new thread each week! On Monday it will be PUSH YOURSELF challenge, week 1. So make sure you keep on the loom out for it.

  • @ Nano, I do not know about the Jillian Michaels vidoeos as I have not done them. Maybe someone else reading here can answer that question. But, cardio would be anything that consistently keeps your heart rate above 110 BPM's. For instance, a light walk around the neighborhood would not be cardio. You can do it for your…
  • I am so very happy to see you all being honest right from the get go! I am glad you reading the minimums, re-reading the minimums and making a decision. Some are still in, some are not, and some are still thinking and that is A-OK. You have got to be honest with yourself. You are doing this for yourself. I want to push…
  • Me! No surgery here! 2 months on my own, 12 months on MFP, = 102 pounds gone and tons of inches! I did not do measurements, in the beginning, I was already embarrassed enough. (wish I would have) But, size 26 to size 16, thus far. How did I do it? Oh I have logged on here EVERY SINGLE day for 360 days, as of today,…
  • Oh, by the way, when MFP determines your calories allotted, per day, based on your goals, they already put you at a 500 calorie per day deficit! So you are already at a deficit!
  • So how about hearing from someone who HAS lost 102 pounds! YES! I did! In the beginning I ONLY exercised to have more calories to eat! The longer you do this the more, and harder, you will find you work out, and the harder it WILL be to eat them back, but until you get there eat them! Now the only time I would say don't…
  • I got mine from HSN.com and it's a Proform! I love it and I am at a point now that I can put it n an incline of 5 and get a really low impact intense workout! The one I have has a speaker and a jack to plug your IPod right not it and also a place for these SD card workouts! It came with the first SD card and it's a six…
  • Uncle Kracker/Kid Rock good to be me, the ENTIRE newest Kid Rock album, Born Free, Tim McGraw, Felt Good On My Lips, and Keith Urban, Put You In A Song. Those get me going and keep me moving.
  • Oh, BTW, if I am out running, on trails, far from a bathroom, I am able to pee standing, with a slight squat, too! Better than peeing my pants while running!
  • When do men help!
  • I have had both the watch and the one that straps around your chest! The one that straps around your chest is by far better because it is right next to your heart. As others mentioned do a search on amazon.com because you can read reviews.
  • I do a daily cooking blog everyday! Feel free to check it out. www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/TracieJ65
  • Turkey Sausage Stew
  • Well, I day a daily cooking blog because several of my MFP pals were asking this same question! Feel free to look at it and hopefully you will find a lot of ideas! I have been doing it since the first of the year! You can get to it by going to www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/TracieJ65. I posted today's recipe on the message…
  • You bet ellis_rn. This will be another terrific soup for you to make and have all week for lunches! I really, really think you will see how much better the no sodium Herb Ox will be! Look at a low sodium chicken broth, in the store, and see how much sodium is in one serving and then think about how many servings that you…
  • I go grocery shopping ONCE every two weeks! The week before, I begin going through recipes and deciding what it is I want to cook over the next two weeks! As I pick a recipe I do two things, write the recipe on a note with the information of where it is and two, put all the ingredients needed on my grocery list. Once I…
  • Bump, sounds amazing
  • By the way nice of you to bring it up and be willing to admin it! I would love to be on your list for the booklets. Also, there is a crockpot thread, that has gotten quite HUGE, in the recipes sections, that has a TON of awesome recipes. Could probably be a book in itself! Anyway, if you want to research it go into the…
  • I actually started a daily cooking blog, at the beginning of the year for this exact reason! We do NOT go out to eat, or very, very little and I cook everyday! I love to cook! I was asked, a lot, prior to the new year, by my friends here, about what I was eating for dinner, per my food diary. I too will tweak recipes, make…
