Did a walk this morning (6AM mind you, and I don't do mornings) before heading off to work. Drank my water and somehow managed to stay under calorie goal, although my choices weren't always the best. Also did the 50 crunches for the competition, but that was as far as I got before needing to get into the office.

That is fantastic! Congratulations!!

It does get better. I still don't run (yet), but it is crossing my mind more and more. When I started out in early June, I was wiped out just walking a mile on the treadmill at a slow pace. And that took 30 minutes to do. Now I am walking the mile in about 20 minutes, then riding the bike for 15, and the elliptical for 15.…

I am over on water (9+), under in calories, I did my extra mile and for some reason did pushups and lunges. I was at work so couldn't check what I was supposed to do, so I just did some stuff! I hope everyone had a great day!

You have my deepest sympathy. I lost 2 family members in January, so I know a little about what you are feeling. I really believe that you can eat healthy (reasonably anyway) and still be with your family. Maybe all you will do is limit your alcohol consumption, but it is a step in the right direction. The structure MFP…

Oh, that sounds fantastic!!

Today was a really busy day at work! Got my water in, was under calories and did the 50 ab crunches and presses. I assume those are like push ups! That's about as far as I got today. Tomorrow and Thursday look to be really busy too, but I will be walking around for hours (I am facilitating some training) both days. That…

Our wedding song (our first dance) was "Longer", although I can't remember who it was by...that was over 30 years ago! But for our 25th anniversary, we had a big party and our first dance was Shania Twain "Your Still the One". The lyrics are "they said I'll bet, they'll never make it but just look at us now." We got…

Water done, under calorie goal (and found a way to go to Red Robin and stay on track!). Did the ab crunches and squat kicks. Forgot the woodchoppers, so I will do them tomorrow. It was a good start to the week!

Sorry you have not been feeling well my friend! I promise to do 50 ab crunches extra per day, which over 6 days is 300 crunches. Does anyone else have problems with jumping jacks? When I do them in the water (pushing up against the water is hard!) it's ok, but on land I feel like I might give myself a black eye with things…

I am going on a cruise in three weeks, and we all know what the food is like on a cruise! My trainer told me NOT to weigh myself the week I get back (probably be too depressing!), because I most likely would have gained at least water weight. She told me to get back on track as soon as I get home (no waiting until…

I would definately count it!! Vigorous cleaning sounds like the right thing to call it. It certainly is a workout!

I did an extra mile today for the challenge as I couldn't remember what miles I did for what challenge! I figured an extra mile couldn't hurt!

Weigh In day: 235-down another 2 lbs. I have now officially lost 10% of my starting body weight!! Another 3 lbs to go to get to my before cruise goal!
-
That is frustrating! I was like that all week (yes, I check my weight daily) and it was driving me crazy. But I knew I was doing all the right things and this morning all was good. And I was going to the bathroom like crazy Friday and Saturday so I am assuming it was fluid retention. That is probably what is happening to…

Did the shoulder presses and crunches and did another extra mile. I drank my 10 cups of water and was under calories for the day. Let's hope this all pays off tomorrow!

I don't have stairs either, but luckily my sister needed help the other day with grocery shopping and she lives on the second floor. (Luck for me and the challenge, not for my sister needing help!) If anyone comes up with an alternative to this (my sister lives 60 miles away-I don't do that very often!) please share. I…

Did the 50 crunches for tomorrow already, drank my water (9 glasses) and was under my calorie goal for the day. My knees are really sore (rain is coming!) but I will try the modified ones tomorrow and see if that is easier for me.

Drank all my water, did 5 sets of 21's and climbed 150 stairs. My sister, who is recovering from surgery and can't lift more than 5 lbs, lives on the second floor (15 stairs). She needed me to take her shopping and then bring the groceries into her house so 10 times I went up and down the stairs. I was also under my…

I was really angry and upset earlier (family issues), so I went to the gym and took it out on the poor machines. This meant that there are 3 more miles for our 100 mile challenge (on the bike), I did the extra mile for whatever day this week and finished the extra mile from yesterday that I couldn't finish due to rain. I…

Great! I noticed the same thing. And my shirts are longer too. The dryer that shrunk them must have streched them out again!
-
Most important thing is that you are OK! I hope you heal quickly!
-
Congratulations!! That is a wonderful feeling!

I did the swimmer's presses (all 50!), drank my water and was under calorie goal. Only got about a half mile walk in because of weather. Went to walk on a break and it started to rain! I moved pretty quickly to get back to the office before I got soaked! I don't normally ride a bike, but was thinking about it. Maybe being…

I've been to Cheddars-and it is very good. But that was before I started watching what I ate. Their Lemon Pepper grilled chicken should be pretty reasonable or the talapia if you like fish. Good luck and enjoy your time with your Dad!

Starting to plan a whole month at a time is way to big a job anyway! So write down what you eat each day. Then when it is time to go grocery shopping, rebuy what you ate the week before. As you add different meals, write them down. Eventually you will have a months worth of meal ideas and more! As for quick meals, chicken…

What a sweet thing for him to do! I hope you enjoyed your evening!

I don't like this much water either. I don't really like water and I'm constantly going to the bathroom!! What helps for me is to drink it out of a straw of some kind-usually a sports bottle. My bottle holds 3 cups with the ice strip (an extra 1/2 cup without the ice thing) and I fill it 3 times a day. It also needs to be…

We are going on a cruise in 3 weeks, so I am very nervous about the same things. My plan is to drink at least 8 glasses of water, make sure I walk every day and swim as much as possible. Being near the ocean, you should be able to do the same things. No matter what, enjoy your vacation and your time with your daughter.…
