There is more Methanol in tomato juice. People see the word methanol and jump to conclusions..They don't consider the dose. The dose is very small and easly metabolized.

You need to read through peer reviewed journals on these subjects.. Not just random articles from people selling this or that or some magazine ect..You google search this stuff and most of it is non credible nonsense.

I always eat a meal pre/post WO despite my goals. The amount will vary depending on goals but I won't not eat. Lots of people skimp on the pre/post WO meal which I don't understand. This is the time when food will be partitioned to lean tissue or converted to energy. And I do not eat simple carbohydrates/sports drinks…

It is not because the density is the mass/volume. And a cup of one substance will have a different ratio of mass to the volume occupied by that mass then another substance.

Scivation Whey because Scivation is run by a company of great people. No other company has helped half as many people as team scivation. That counts for something in my book.

You could always tweak your other macronutrients so the shake does not put you over for the day. Ultimate Nutrition IsoCool-92 cal/23g protein.

Any protein consumed above what is needed to maintain protein turnover is converted to fatty acids/glucose

I don't use MM but I know what it is..It is something to supplement your nutrition. And nutrition is very important to getting the most out of your efforts. But you need to work hard and be consistent. If you do that with both your training and nutrition you will achieve results. Protein post WO is beneficial.

What I posted are facts..What you posted originally is your opinion.

Whey protein can be a tremendous value..An inexpensive source of protein. Also show me another protein source that is as rich in amino acids and as low calorie as many protein shakes. That means they have a favorable profile compared to whole foods. And they can be a convenient way to get in some protein.

Sounds like you have a good over all approach to help you gain muscle mass.
-
Sounds like a keto type diet..Not a fan of Ketogenic diets. All for cutting out sugar. But not healthy carbs and low protein.
-
If your goal is to gain muscle, keep your calories slightly above maintenance on the days you WO..Do you incorporate any heavy strength training in to your weekly routine? Meaning, 2-5 rep range. Focusing on lifts such as Deadlift/squat/presses?

I like a good pre WO drink..hypershock and scivation quake are my current favorites..BCAA, whey protein, omega 3. And from time to time I'll try something like a D aspartic acid or something like that.

Hersheys cocoa powder makes very good hot chocolate. You may want to add some form of sweetner since it us unsweetened. I also mix a tiny bit in my oatmeal at times or with some yogurt. Very low cal treat that comes in handy.

No, that is for anybody who trains with intensity. If you are training with intensity and the power output is increased your body relies on carbohydrates mainly as the fuel source. I get up at 4:30am, make a bowl of oatmeal with a serving of BCAA, eat it down. Reset my alarm and go back to sleep for an hour. Get up, down my pre WO drink and go workout. Greek yogurt has more protein, less carbs and less calories then plain yogurt. I think Fage greek yogurt is yummy! If you need some sweetner you could try some stevia powder or you could buy some protein powder and mix a scoop in for added protein and flavor. Of course then you're consuming more cals but it is delicious.…
