Maybe just don't burn quite as many calories when you go to the gym? I always hear that weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. Another popular one is "abs are made in the kitchen". Also, I won't get too far into it because I'm no expert, but I'm eating 1700+ calories daily and steadily losing weight. If you're burning…

I have no advice; just want to wish you the best of luck!!

No cheat day here. I hear a lot of people suggest cheat days once a week so that you don't deprive yourself or that they need a cheat day to keep their sanity...I don't get it. Eat what you want, but work it into your calories for the day. Of course, everyone will do what they feel is best for them; personally, I see no…

I was 286 lbs at my highest weight and considered getting LapBand. I even went for the first consultation. I left that appointment and had an emotional breakdown as soon as I got to my car. It just wasn't for me. From the way you talk, it's not for you either. Don't let a doctor pressure you into something you don't want…

Oh my gosh, thank y'all so much! I was shocked to see my post again! My ultimate goal weight is 143. That's half of my highest weight and is just about half-way into the "healthy" range for our height, so I figured I might as well shoot for it. How cool would it be to be able to say I'm half the woman I once was :) I'm not…

You're absolutely right. If you aren't motivated, you're most likely not going to stick with it. You need to find your motivator. I've dieted off and on for 10ish years. I always gave up until now. I found my motivator (as silly as it was, I'm just glad it worked...I blog about it here if you want to read. Warning, it's…

143....only because that's half of my highest weight and I thought it'd be kinda cool to literally be half of what I used to be. I'm sure I'd be happy around 150. What did you have in mind? A "healthy" weight for someone 5' 7" is anywhere from 123-163 depending on your frame.

I'm also 5'7". My highest weight ever was 286lbs. I started here on MFP last June at 257. I set a 60lb goal to get started (to get under 200lbs), but my UGW at that time was 160ish. I'm now at 181 and have recently re-evaluated my goal. I am now aiming for 143 (half of my highest weight). 200 lbs is a great goal to start…

Red :) Seriously though, I love dark brown hair. Brunettes can wear any color!

Such a great story! I also love the term "wog" :)

I thought your story was absolutely hilarious!.......then I read a couple of the responses on the first page ("Something else is wrong in your marriage and you don't seem to care", "I can't even believe I wasted my time reading that.") and thought to myself, "man, I must have missed something." Went back and reread your…

An entire roll of chocolate chip cookie dough! Ok, I probably couldn't actually eat the whole thing, but I'd like to try right about now...

This is awesome! Ha ha!!

I just kind of AM motivated....more determined, I guess. I do still get really excited by thinking "Oh, where will I be in 6 months??" So maybe just think that. Where could you be 6 months from now? If you stick to it, you'll be down some weight...maybe even a few sizes! If you don't keep at it, where will you be in 6…

I'm about half-way through book 1. There are a few things that bug me, but overall it's a good read so far. I get tired of "down there" and I can't stand when it's referred to as her "sex"...I've seen it in a few books before this one and I'm just not a fan. I also can't fathom that a 21 year old girl has never pleasured…

So many of these hurt my heart! I've had a couple of people in the past mistake me for being pregnant (ugh!) but no one has ever been openly ugly to me about my weight.

My hero!!

Not a thing! If I'm craving something, I work it into my calories. I definitely don't eat certain things as often, but I don't deprive myself of anything.

Great transformation and you are absolutely adorable!!
