BMR assumes that you're at rest. So it's what your body would burn just functioning if you laid in bed all day. If your net calories end up at your BMR your giving your body just enough calories to function (which is why some people suggest that you don't let your net calories fall below your BMR), but you still have the…

Can a man and a woman ever be just friends?

Wow people are angry. I don't see what the problem is. You gave it a shot, it didn't work out, no big deal. Also, I do have to say that zumba does look kinda funny, so I don't think it was that unreasonable that you burst into laughter. I'd suggest that if you wanna get back on your wife's good side that you guys take a…

I weigh myself every morning when I wake up. I figure the more numbers I have the more accurate the representation of what's going on with my weight is. I just make sure that I'm looking at the overall trend that my weight's following rather than obsessing about being a half a pound more one day compared to another.

Beyond catching a few episodes of Say Yes to the Dress, I can't say that I've ever really looked at wedding stuff. I'm single though, so I still have a long time before I'll be thinking about getting married.

I loooove bananas and almond butter in my oatmeal. However, that usually ends up being about 400 calories. So when if I'm trying to have a less caloric breakfast, I mash up a couple of blackberries into my oatmeal instead

I think it is all in your head. My thoughts on this is that if I saw someone at the gym that was even like twice my size, I wouldn't think "what a fat***". My thoughts would be that it's good that they decided to try to get healthy. So I choose to (probably naively) assume that everyone else thinks along the same lines…

I'd say that for your friend's sake you shouldn't make a move on her/let her make a move on you, but other than that, I see nothing wrong with it. My best friend is a guy and probably about 80% of the time I spend with him we're alone. He has a girlfriend, but she knows that we're just friends, so it's not a problem.

Loosing isn't a word. It's either losing or loosening depending on the context
-
These sort of threads to come up all the time. At the same time though, obviously people still haven't learned the difference between loose and lose, so it's not unwarranted. It does drive me insane when I see people claim they want to "loose weight," and apparently we're not allowed to correct the grammar in people's…

Strawberries are 2.77 at walmart here. Plus there's the lovely 13% sales tax on just about everything that's not considered "necessary"

I had the same problem when I first started. I found that the shock of seeing just how much I ate was enough for me to slowly start eating less. It'll take a few days, maybe even a week or two, but you'll start to become aware of what you're eating, and it gets much easier!! You'll do fine!! :)

I'm 21. I've just been eating healthy and working out. So far I've lost about 20 lbs in 5 months. Anyone who wants to can feel free to add me. :)

Leafs fan rooting for ottawa... that's just wrong!

Sadly, I'm a Leafs fan... so naturally i have to have a back-up team for when playoffs start. I'm a big fan of Tim Thomas, so the Bruins are my number 2 team

You look fantastic!!
