I read through threads here or look for before and after photos, look for people that have proved that healthy habits are sustainable. You will make it! Remember we all have bad days. I have weeks where I slip, and I just pep talk myself back using whatever way possible.

I've found two that I like so far. They're short 5 minute ones. No real instructions, I just follow along. I've been trying to do everything at home. I always feel I have better success at home than the gym. I do not like going to the gym. For me about the time I get there, there's too many people, too much chaos, and no…

I don't shame, or judge anyone based on their body, or any differences to myself. I've been shamed as a teenager trying to lose weight. I wasn't even at a heavy weight, yet other teenagers can be cruel. What I don't like is the assumption that someone is not healthy because of their weight. A while back a doctor really…

I think for me it will get fun once I've learned some moves. I tried again tonight, not as challenging as yesterday. I used to belly dance almost 10 years ago. It's obviously very different, but I think I'm going to like it.

After my insanity fit test today I did the same short videos over again. I probably looked similar to what you described. My SO didn't say anything and he wouldn't because I've seen him try to dance. Lol.

I want to feel better mentally, physically, and emotionally. I watched both of my parents, one uncle and one aunt pass away from illnesses. Both of my sisters have high blood pressure, one is pre diabetic. I've suffered a miscarriage recently, and about two weeks later lost a good friend to a motorcycle accident, she was a…

Coffee... all day every day! Other than that cottage cheese, either strawberries or bananas. Usually oatmeal too.

Might be working... otherwise a possible impromptu BBQ with my family at home.

I'm going to try this. I like exercising all around. I was also thinking Zumba is something my 4 year old can do too. She's 4, so she loves dancing and trying exercises with me.

I burn far more Calories in 45 minutes of Zumba than in 45 minutes of Insanity, but they really are chalk and cheese aren't they. I do Zumba because I enjoy the cardio aspect, I'm a useless dancer with 2 left feet, but I throw myself in to every move and burn around 350-400 Calories in 45 minutes (at 5'2"/161lb). On the…

I'm 5'2 and 144 lbs. my HRM told me I burned 157 calories for 18 minutes.

Thank you! I'm going to finish insanity first. I did insanity a few years ago with terrific results. I've exercised on and off throughout my adult life. I'm interested in Zumba mostly because it seems fun. I've been interested in dance since I can remember, just not very agile when it comes to dancing.

My friends mom had one of these... they're actually kind of goofy and fun. We used to get on it just to try it out. lol.

I got mine about a month ago and I love it too!

Here is my regiment: I'm usually out the door on the way to drop off my daughter at preschool/daycare a few minutes after 5 am. We stop and get coffee, she's at school by 5:30 and I commute 25 miles to work by 6am. I leave work at usually around 3:30 ish, give or take if there is something needing addressing. Get home…

I used to power walk and jog here and there. I don't mind it when it's a once in a while event for me. I do a lot of walking at work sometimes, it can be effective in helping aid weight loss.

Well my SO took our daughter out and I ended up doing some light house work, going to Walmart, and having a dance party in the living room. I looked up some Zumba videos on YouTube, but have no idea what I'm doing with them. lol.

@heidishmidi I'm starting week 3 tomorrow! High five!!!

It really is a shame. I took a look at what they had at Walmart. I couldn't find anything that was comfortable and not loose fitting in the wrong places. (if I can get them up it's like they're baggy in the legs, if they fit right in the legs they probably won't get over my butt) It's going to take some time. I don't mind…

Yes. My SO is 6'1 and 220 I think. He's been up and down. Never actively really tries to lose weight. I don't really expect him too either, being his body and all. When I met him (17 years ago) he had anxiety issues that lead him to have stomach issues tied to them and was very thin. He is well past the issues now. Anytime…

I understand why vegans are so compassionate. I grew up in a household where my father was an animal control officer. He always did everything in his power to help, encourage, rehabilitate, and save animals each and every day. We were raised eating meat and dairy. We knew where our food came from. My friend in fact was…

Could it have been lady time? I have a regular cycle and have gained up to 10 lbs. it's sad but true. Give it a few days or maybe a week. Also check sodium intake, or if you had a brutal day out and about in the elements maybe your body is trying to rest and repair. After going to the county fair I held onto some water…

Also keep in mind everyone's body responds differently to a different diet. I made a point of not dieting but rather changing my eating habits. I needed something sustainable in the long run because when we grocery shop it's for the entire family, and we share foods. It would substantially go over our budget to just buy…

I just count calories. I do try to eat foods that are better and more filling in the long run. Just everything in moderation.

You are all awesome thank you for the help. On my regular workout days I walk anywhere from 5-10 miles, it depends on how busy that work day is for me. I was tired of not doing anything for my rest days.

Have you tried the happy scale app? My weight fluctuates a lot. I kept kind of feeling this way. First I evaluated if I am logging correctly, then my exercise. Then I realized my scale was indeed broken, got my other scale and then started using the happy scale app. And every helped. Either weight weight loss is not…

I personally just have not ruled things out or call them cheat. It makes me feel like I'm too restricted. It didn't take me one day to put the weight on, doesn't take one day to take it off.

I'm 14 lbs from my goal weight. When I know I will be most confident. I will regardless keep exercising and eating healthier because I want to stick to it. I've thought about the fact that usually around the last 5 lbs I know I stop making it a priority. If I have that happen again I think I'm going to re evaluate my goals…

I used to think if I got the weight off quickly by over exercising and not eating enough I would be able to maintain it later. Which is obviously not the truth. I've learned that I can eat and be satisfied on healthy foods well within my calorie deficit to lose weight. That I'll have to be conscious of my lifelong choices…

Getting control over my weight, and my nutrition. As a lifelong change rather than just immediate results.
