I've ran in lots of different shoes and I really don't notice that much of a difference in running shoes anymore. I actually prefer more of a minimalist shoe these days because the thick heels in running shoes mess with my stride. But for longer runs on pavement I like a little more cushion, though I haven't had shoes I…

I'm holding out for the Jawbone Up 3

All depends on your definition of "fitness". I'd say to be fit you'd need a good mix of strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, etc. I've also noticed strength training doesn't help me much with my running. I did hours or cardio a week for a few months and could run a 10k no problem. Then I barely did any cardio for a…

This. You just have to make yourself do it. I've found I can't relax after work and then try to go to the gym. I either have to go on my way home or just grab my stuff and leave once I get home. Once I start doing too many things around the house I'm less likely to go.

For me free weights>>>body weight>>>>>>machines. But the stronger I get and the more weight I lose the less effect body weight exercises have.
-
I have the same problem, never really figured out correct form and I always felt it in my back. I've always just used dumbbells.
-
I don't think you are skinny fat but that picture is kind of small. I don't really like classifying other people anyway. The program I would recommend would depend on your goals and what type of equipment you have access to.

I actually don't really care when people don't take their weights off the barbell. If it already has 45s on it it makes my life easier. I do take them of when I'm done though because I feel bad for the people that can't lift them.

Used to happen to me all the time regardless of my shoes. Usually I'd just go backwards for a couple minutes and that would shift my weight and they would be better for a while.

You can do low impact cardio just about every day. Running is higher impact so you want to rest your joints the day after, but if you are alternating running and swimming it should be fine. Also your body should tell you if you're working out too much or not eating enough.
-
Do more cardio. You can do cardio just about every day as long as it's not too high impact, it will help increase your endurance for running. Also you can probably run 3 times a week but it depends on your mileage.

In my opinion if what you're currently doing is working and you are happy with the results then keep doing it. Don't try to fix something that isn't broken. But you said it yourself, if you no longer feel like the number on the scale is all that matters and you would rather be more toned than just lose weight then maybe…

If I'm using the bench press I'll wipe down the bench and then maybe wipe the bar really quick. If I'm doing deadlifts or using dumbells I don't go out of my way to wipe them down every time.

So apparently he thinks warming up is a waste? He probably thinks stretching is a waste too, and balance.
-
Very true, I skimmed through the nutrition plan and the calorie range seemed a little high so I just decided to keep within the same range I've had luck with on MFP. I think that's set up for people who have no idea how to eat healthy or what calorie range to shoot for, but if you've been on MFP for a while and know how to…

At the end of the day, the only thing that matters for weight loss is calories in versus calories out. If you're not losing weight you're probably underestimating your intake or overestimating your exercise calories.

I would have said PLEASE learn how to read, *kitten*.

If all you're worried about is a number on a scale than you should focus more on your diet and less on what workout plan you're doing. It's only a half hour of exercise a day, it's not going to make you magically drop 20 lbs unless you change your diet also. I'm in week 6 and I've lost maybe a pound or two. But I can…

You probably just want to work on decreasing your body fat %. Basically gain more muscle and lose more fat.
-
If you haven't even had a session with any of them why would you think you owe them any sort of loyalty? It's great to want to be loyal but don't let it get in the way of your own needs.

Generally I saw if you're more focused on getting stronger and building or maintaining muscle than you should do the weight lifting first. And if you're more focused on building your cardiovascular endurance or just burning a lot of calories than you should do your cardio first. Also, if I do cardio first I get too sweaty…

I didn't have too many balance issues with that one, I thought it was a decent workout since I was pretty sore the next day. I had a few troubles with balance when I first started, but I got better at it. I also started off the program wearing running shoes that had a lot of cushion, after Tony kept yelling at me I…

When you start to feel tired and are about to stop, just tell yourself 1 more minute (or whatever works for you) and count to 60. I usually forget that I'm tired and hurting by the time I get to 30.

Tip? My dentist is pretty hot, I'd give her the whole thing.

I haven't spent a dollar on a haircut in over 5 years, I cut my own.

I did Insanity a couple years back, didn't lose much weight, didn't finish it. Doing P90x3 right now, in week 5, still haven't lost weight. I'm in better shape all around though.

I'm at the end of week 5 in the classic schedule. Feel free to add me.

Can anyone explain to me why sidewalk bikers would rather almost hit other pedestrians on the sidewalk trying to squeeze by them than just pass them on the grass?
-
If you are approaching someone from behind you can't expect them to jump out of the way for you. If there's not enough room to pass, that's your problem. You need to ride around them using the grass, the street, however you see fit. Don't expect people to make room for you when they can't see you. Calling out "On your…

So you had a back injury 2 years ago, fractured your tibia last year, and have spent the past 2 weeks in the hospital? What are you a stunt double or something? My first suggestion is to try to be more careful. In all seriousness, have you tried physical therapy? Maybe you can stretch and strengthen those muscles so you…
