Every year I buy my husband Regal Cinema gift cards b/c he's a movie buff and loves to go to movies. I do this so b/c he is going to go to the movies ANWAY and that way he doesn't blow our budget ! He doesn't even have to budget for the movies with his "blow" money b/c he's got the cards. He loves them and expects them…

Definitely do what you can! You can do this! Also, remember exercise makes you more insulin sensitive and can also help with cravings. Everyday is new and tomorrow is your first new day :)

Btw, I couldn't conceive until they started me on metformin. He started me on BC stating that when I was ready to TTC he'd take me off and it would help. I went off the BC and was pregnant within a month.

Most of the time REs are also Gynocologists that pursued the RE specialty. I just googled Reproductive Endocrinologist in Austin Tx and tons came up. See if your Endo will refer you (most of the time you have to be referred, but your gyno might since you now have the Diagnosis of PCOS. Its in your records now, so that will…

I've never seen a regular endocrinologist for my PCOS. Was yours a Endocrinologist or a Reproductive Endocrinologist?? I went to mine b/c of PCOS symptoms. If yours was an RE then I am a little nervous.

When I struggle with getting control back, I will go low low carbs for about a week. I pretty much let myself eat what I want as long as its protein or low sugar veggies (less than 25 g of carbs a day, so no carrots peas, fruits, potatos etc.) Usually within 2 to 3 days, my carb binge/cravings subsides and I am able to…

Usually when I feel out of control, I take a week ( or how ever long it takes ) to wean myself off of sugar/carbs. I'll go low low carb for about a week, then slowly add back in my whole grains the following week. So sorry you're struggling :(

Okay, so this is NOT like shredded wheat. Very interesting! I'd like to try it. Would be fun to see if I could find it here. The I'd have to come back to this thread to see how you girls cook this stuff :)

I wonder if its like the Shredded Wheat we have in the US. They look like little pillows made of...uh.. wheat. We eat them with cold milk. I think I'm going to google weet bix b/c you UK gals have gotten me curious!

I use 1 tblspoon of light mayo and 1tblspoon of light sour cream and it is GOOD! ( I also add a squirt of mustard and lemon juice, minced dried onions, and a bit of sweet relish) but the light or fat free sour cream really adds moisture and cuts the mayo taste. You could also use nonfat greek yogurt in place of the sour…

How old are they? How about laser tag (or paint ball if they are older?) College basketball or football game (or professional if in the area...and you can get the tickets cheap.) Amusement parks, water parks, hiking,

I have lots of friends who have multiple kids and the call their one-on-one time with each kid a "date." Maybe its a new thing with my generation, but its a way to give your kids some individual attention. Anyway, the word "date" originated from establishing a meeting time/place on a specific date. But my friends who do it…

Is there a US equivalent of weet bix??? Is it like oatmeal? or cream of wheat??

She sounds so miserable! Just keep doing what you are doing, ignore the negativity. Niceness burns worse than meaness.

My first name is Cassondra....middle name is DANIEL. Yes, on my birth certificate it says Cassondra Daniel. My mother is half Puerto Rican (but raised in Tennessee...culture virtually lost in the twang and hills of TN) and she didn't know how to spell Danielle. So she just spelled it the way you would in spanish...Daniel.…

I DO understand you. I felt the same way for years. I would only date men who were either really beefy or had a little pooch b/c I couldn't stand the thought of them weighing less than me. But now that I'm older I'm not bothered so much by it. I guess because I was finally able to realize that men do like a woman with…

and I have made this before and it was really good, and milk is def. needed because it is really thick and dip like without it.

I personally don't like ranch on salads (but I do on baked potatoes) but here is a homemade recipe from skinnytaste.com. All of her stuff I have ever made has been amazing. This is 52 calories for a 1/4 cup! That's 4 tablespoons...and most are about that much for 2 tablespoons. I'd try it if I were you :)…

If you go to the search function up above, there are quite a few threads about this with pictures (quite a few success stories.) Try "mommy belly" or getting rid of mommy belly, or Post c-section...things like that.

I don't run in shorts because they "ride" up. I wear running pants.

They say on the website that you can do the program according to distance or time. They are assuming that you are running a 10 minute mile (6mph on the treadmill) So by the time you are running 30 consecutive minutes, you should be getting 3 miles in. I did the program and worked on 12 minute miles (5mph on the treadmill.)…

Just saw this today :) I appreciated the picture that was with it too.

Just graduated last week! Restarted the program (except started on week 3) and I'm working on running faster this time. I think when I finish this time, I will start the program outside (I've been running on a treadmill.

I know at Disney World you can bring in your own food and drink. We took a backpack that had a cooler liner. We took tons of water, some powerade and healthy snacks that way we didn't eat AS much. Then I just tried to make smart decisions after that.

Yes! The calves! But it was the jumping jacks that did it to me!

Trying to get DOWN the stairs was what killed me last time I started. Take an anti-inflammatory for the pain :)

Post pregnancy hairloss is totally normal. With both of my babies, when they were 3.5-4 months old my hair started falling out in clumps, especially in the shower. See, during pregnancy your body releases a hormone which stops your hair from falling out. That's why your hair can look so full and thick during pregnancy.…
