  • Agreed. As someone that is insulin resistant and has PCOS, low-carb (not NO carb) is what works for me.
  • Same here and agreed! Low-carb is what works for me. Right now I am trying to incorporate low-calorie on top of that. So I am on a low-carb/low-cal plan. I don't recommend it to everybody, but it's what works for me. But yes, everybody is different. What works for some people won't work for others and vice versa. The…
  • I was a huge Diet Coke addict, but have started drinking Diet Rite instead (I don't care for the taste as much.. Splenda tastes too sweet to me).. 0 Cal, 0 Carbs, 0 Caffeine, 0 Sodium. :) I only drink 1 or 2 of those a day, which is much better than my 6-10 Diet Coke habit.
  • Haha, I tried it the first day in just a t-shirt and was lucky to have not gotten a black eye. But yeah, all of that jumping around hurt. The next day I had everything strapped in nice and tight. I need to get back into it (I took a few days off because of the muscle soreness.. hopefully my muscles can handle it now).…
  • I lost my first 10lbs in a week, but I have a lot to lose and I believe most of that was water weight. It's been almost a month now and I'm down 20lbs so far. I anticipate that this will slow down drastically with the coming months as my body adjusts to my new eating habits.
  • I can't wait! I don't have HBO either... so I guess I have to wait after all. :P
  • Thanks for the tips! I might try it again with some of these modifications. I barely got through day 1 of Level 1, did maybe 10 minutes of actual exercising. Somehow I was still extremely sore the next day. I planned to just tough out day 2 with my sore muscles, but couldn't even get through the warm-ups that time. It's…
  • I have PCOS and am currently 253lbs (but have gone from 271 in the past few weeks). I seem to be losing at a steady pace now, but I am afraid that will come to a halt soon. I've been taking Metformin (only 500mg) for the past few years and it doesn't seem to have much impact on my weight loss.. I wish it did. This isn't…
  • I know it makes most people gag, but patchouli is one of my favorite smells. I love most woodsy scents.
  • I met my husband at the place we both worked at over 10 years ago. We met in the summer of 2000, became fast friends and then fell in love. We were married a few months later, that November. We celebrate our 11 year anniversary this year.
  • same here! I can't wait to lose mine... kind of hoping they're the first to go. It's more of a comfort thing to me. I'm not worried how I'd look without any. I just want to be able to sleep comfortably or run without getting a black eye.
  • Those are all on my list of things I'm looking forward to. Also, not having to pay twice the amount for an airline ticket, being able to undress in front of husband without feeling embarrassed, wearing a bathing suit for the first time in 20+ years, going swimming for the first time in 20+ years, sitting comfortably at…
  • I've been following it for about 2 weeks now. Have lost 15lbs since May 31st. I am doing the low-carb version (not sure if that makes a difference). Not eating any of their snacks, but my own (usually cheese, pepperoni, pickles.. am starting to add almonds to the mix) and a 500-600 calorie (and low-carb) dinner. I actually…
  • I chose sedentary because I sit at my computer at home all day. No outside job, so I'm not even walking to the car and back. I have anxieties that keep me from leaving the house very often, so pretty much the only walking I get in is from my bed to my desk and to the kitchen and bathroom. I do some light cleaning everyday,…
