  • I can only actually make one dessert and that's dirt cake. No heating necessary, which is perfect cause I'm really good at catching things on fire in the oven and on the stove! Thanks for all the support guys!
  • There is no better motivation than seeing a hamster try to stuff a whole carrot in its mouth!

  • ...was today and I am officially blaming my co-workers. They've been dying to have a lunch outing for a month now and I finally caved. We walked a few blocks up the street to a cool little hot dog joint called Cats & Dawgs. If you're ever in Asheville NC I highly recommend it, but only if you've saved up about 1000…
  • Thanks so much guys! I will definitely keep you all updated.
  • I have a two year old Pomeranian that I absolutely adore! His name is Chester and he's one of my best friends. So of course I try my best to take very good care of him. Last week I got a card in the mail saying it was time for his yearly check up and shots so I promptly called on Monday and scheduled him an appointment for…
  • I like FiberOne yogurt. Its really creamy with only 80 calories. Its kind of small though and doesn't have fruit pieces.

  • I really want to thank all of you guys for your tips and support! I tweaked my goals to 1 lb per week loss and more exercise. So we'll see how it goes! Wish me luck and thanks again! :smooched:
  • I've had the exact same problems (minus the numbness) all of my life. My hands and feet are always like ice. I figured I was just cold natured though. Maybe I should check with my doctor though, I'd never heard of Raynaud's Syndrome before. If you find out what's up let me know! Hope you warm up soon! :flowerforyou:
  • Now I'm just confused. :noway: Eat more? Eat less? Eat the same? Do more cardio? Do more strength training? I feel very unsure about my entire routine now....
  • Well thanks! :smooched: I'm 5'8" naturally curvy and I've got a pretty average frame I think. My boyfriend always tells me I wouldn't be overweight if I didn't wear a D cup and have baby making hips lol. I think I'm going to try decreasing my per week goal and see if it helps any. Thanks for the suggestion!
  • I read both those posts and yes I am eating my exercise calories (almost all of them usually). I set my goal at 1.5 lbs per week, which might be too high as you suggested. I also checked out my BMI as the posts suggested and I'm right in the middle of the high category. I set my goal at 25 lbs to lose which should get me…
  • MFP recommends I get 1300 calories a day and most days I burn at least 300 to 500 calories working out according to my heart rate monitor. I always make sure to eat at least my allotted 1300 and most days I'm closer to 1500. I usually do some weight lifting at the gym and an ab workout video three days a week after my 30…
  • That makes a lot of sense and makes me feel better too. I just need to be patient. That's probably gonna be harder for me than sticking with my new routine lol!
  • ::gives self a hug:: I guess what's really frustrating me is that I know when I did it the wrong way the pounds came off faster. Nobody ever said the right way would be easy though! Thanks for helping me turn my frown upside down lol.
  • If I'm really just being impatient (that's definitely possible) how come three of the four pounds lost were gone in the first week?
  • I started using MFP August 12, 2008. So I've been on here a little over a month and as you can see by my ticker, I've only lost 4 lbs (and those were all in the first week and a half). Its a very rare occasion that I go over my calories and I'm usually not that far under. I workout for at least 30 mins 5 to 6 days a week.…
  • The screwed up teeth diet sucks a bunch! I had to have my wisdom teeth cut out and over the course of 3 to 4 healing weeks couldn't eat anything but milk shakes and jello. I lost 15lbs though. I also lost 10lbs when I got my tongue pierced. Not a very healthy way to lose it, but it sure makes the pain feel worth…
  • I know exactly what you mean. I have been on MFP for over a month. The first week I dropped 3 lbs which I figured was probably mostly water weight or something. Week number 2 I dropped 1 more lb and that's been it. Absolutely no more lost in 3 to 4 weeks. I've tried everyone's suggestions and nothing has helped. The only…
  • I'm really surprised to see that people are finding that the treadmill calories are over what their heart rate monitors are saying. I recently purchased a heart rate monitor myself. I usually do the elliptical, but yesterday I did intervals of walking and running on the treadmill. The workout room has no blinds and no AC…
  • I'm in Asheville, NC and what little gas is left has now reached $4.75 a gallon. (It was $3.67 yesterday.) A friend of mine said it was $4.99 in Murphy, NC, jumping $1.28 from yesterday's price. The wholesale price of gas has only gone up around 20 cents on the gallon. I highly recommend either not buying or buying very…
  • I would definitely appreciate that. I never realized they were so important. Thanks so much! :flowerforyou:
  • I don't use supplements. Should I be using them? I've never been really clear on how important they are.
  • I am kind of concerned that my cravings could be related to something I'm missing in my diet.... wonder what it would be though? I usually have something from all the food groups everyday. I'll have to do some research.
  • lol I can't even begin to imagine what that would look like.
  • I've been craving a donut for the past two weeks and of course this morning my supervisor pops her head around the corner and chips "Hot donuts in the conference room!" And its almost exactly time for me to eat breakfast so I'm starting to get hungry. I was tempted so I hopped on MFP to see how many calories I would lose…
  • I'm gonna be a year older since its my birthday. As for costumes, my boyfriend and I were thinking about uncle sam and lady liberty.
  • Well, my name is Susan and when I was little my dad always called me Suzie Q. When I got older I didn't like the nickname as much until my best friend changed it to Suzie the cutie i.e. QT sounded out. So I'm SuzieQT (cutie).
