Would it be possible to go with your husband a couple of times? So you can learn the ropes?

Very cool -- thanks for sharing!

I love my Polar FT7. Keeps HR, time, and calories burned for all my workouts. I like the look of the watch, too -- sometimes I wear it even when I'm not working out.

I placed second in my age group and PR'd at a recent 5k -- I'm about to cross the finish line in my picture.

You look awesome!

I understand being upset that he will offer you these treats -- and you should definitely explain to him that it isn't helpful, and upsets you. However, I think it's a bit selfish of you to assume he will give up foods he loves just because you are.

You found them in the store, picked them off the shelf, put them in your cart, unloaded them from your cart, and paid for them. It wasn't magic. I would suggest: 1) Do not go to the grocery store when you're hungry. 2) When you go to the grocery store, stay out the cookie aisle. There is nothing but junk in that part of…

Oh my goodness -- get your butt outside for your next run! The treadmill is awful in comparison. If you still don't like it after a few runs outside, then go ahead and give it up. There are so many ways to get a good workout--no sense in sticking to one you hate!

A group class is fine. You might want to get there a little early and let the instructor know it's your first practice.
-
Next time that happens, find your pulse and count it manually--then you'll know if your HR really is out of whack or if it's just your HRM. Might just be time for a new battery.

Start taking measurements! A measuring tape will show you how much you're shrinking, even if you can't see it when you look in a mirror.

The whole "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" thing is a myth. If you're not a breakfast-eater, there's no need to force yourself into it.
-
If you want to do *something* every day, it would probably be ok to go for a walk on your "rest" days. I know it's tempting to overdo it when you're feeling so motivated, but you don't want to sideline yourself with injuries.

Sore muscles are normal but sore joints are cause for concern, IMHO. Rest is important. If you're new to exercise, I wouldn't work out more often than every other day. Once your body adjusts, you can add more.

Depends on the wedding. Maybe.

I would probably get either the tilapia or the fajitas (if you go this route maybe take it easy on the tortillas and skip the sour cream). Enjoy your date!

Talk! If I'm contributing to a coversation, I naturally eat much, much more slowly.

I'm celebrating after work today -- between 3 and 4 miles probably.

Lots of good advice here already, but I wanted to add: next time you plan to eat out, be sure take a few minutes before you go to take a look at nutritional info online.

Today is National Running Day -- sounds like you've already celebrated it!

Yes.

I started out in a DD -- now I'm down to a C. At first I was sad about it, but now I'm hoping to lose another cup size by the time I'm at goal. As others have said, a good quality bra can make a world of difference.

After a quick search: White Zinfandel: People tend to have strong opinions about drinking white zinfandel. For some, it hardly qualifies as wine, while others prefer its fruity taste to other choices. Love it or hate it, white zinfandel tends to be one the lowest calorie wines available. One glass of white zinfandel has an…

If you're still feeling sluggish, I would not run. A relaxed walk would probably be fine.

If you love beer, enjoy the good stuff in moderation.

I've been running sporadically for about 6 or 7 months, and have done four 5ks in that time. I PR'd last weekend at my first chip-timed race at 29:11. My boyfriend has been running for several years and he PR'd last weekend as well, sub-20:00.

Running outside is more physically demanding than running on the treadmill. The treadmill is more difficult mentally, for me.
