We didn't finish the Week 1 that was posted last week. I thought we were posting our weights on Sunday/Monday and the week began on Thursday and ended on Wednesday - since that's how the month started... So, today I did 100 JJ & 2 sets of 21s & an extra mile (total of 4 miles on the elliptical).
-
I'm also having no luck with the spreadsheet. My weight this morning was 242.7.

Not much time to write - just wanted you to know that Sunday is my day off (although we went hiking in the Garden of the Gods today, which was pretty wearing...) and I look forward to going again tomorrow. Under on my calories, over on my water. Good night!

Lori - That's pretty much what I did. I ate all of the yak (because it was really yummy...it's the only meat that the Dalai Lama misses from his youth - he's forced to be a vegetarian now) and only part of the elk on my plate. I only ate a few Rocky Mountain Oysters for the appetizer and now I have tons of leftovers in the…

Nica - thinking of you and so proud of you for holding it together like you are. Today was wonderful and delicious - yet I still stayed under on my calories! I am truly proud of myself for managing my portions so well today - we went to a Creole cafe for brunch and then to Buckhorn Exchange (aka Meat-R-Us), where I had yak…

Good morning, everyone! The sun is up, the temperature is low (only 59 degrees F here in the Front Range of the Rockies), and I just returned from the gym. I must say, I have underestimated crunches for years. I haven't done them since high school and doing 50 this morning was a KILLER! My cats looked very concerned and my…

Day 2 complete! Under calories and over water. Extra mile, bear walk, and swimmer presses. Feeling good! Goodnight fellow tribe members!
-
Oh! And I did my 3 minute bear walk this morning. How do we log the swim presses and bear walk?
-
Lori - was it ever determined when we'll be entering our end of week weight? Sundays or Wednesdays?
-
Two sets of 15 Swimmer's Presses - Check An extra mile on the elliptical - Check I typically do about 3.2 miles on the elliptical every day. It was tough adding that additional mile! But it felt good. I'm going to have to buy some dumbbells because the cans of kidney beans just don't really do the trick, and my bowflex…

I just realized that I was supposed to do 30 squat kicks, not 15. Nica - thanks for doing my share! :P I should read what I'm supposed to do the night before, because I'm pretty useless mentally when I first get up. I was well under my calories yesterday and drank 11 cups of water. Now, for Day 2!

15 Step Kicks - Check! 50 Jumping Jacks - Check! Weight this morning: 244.3 I haven't done jumping jacks since high school - and especially after my leg injury - but I was able to do all 50 this morning without stopping! But, I definitely need a more supportive sports bra...

I made a playlist under my YouTube account for the workout videos that you post here - so I have a one-stop-shop for reference without having to scroll through the thread. If you guys have YouTube accounts, I suggest that you do the same thing. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Nike will take shoes in any condition - because they just separate the materials and grind them up. If there's not a station near you, you can send the shoes to them. The address is on the site.

http://www.nikereuseashoe.com/ A good way to recycle them! Nothing gross about that!

That should be calculated in your activity level - it even gives Salesperson as an example. That will automatically increase the amount of calories you can eat per day.
-
You should visit the home once in a while and even take your kid(s). Older people usually love to be around children and you could volunteer to be a part of an activity.
-
There may be people that live there that receive food delivery, maybe? In my experience, it takes longer than 10 minutes to get checked in and make it to the person's room, let alone actually see them and visit. I used to volunteer for a group called God's Love We Deliver and they provided meals for people that were…

I used to have really bad periods like that, where I'd have to come home from school and wouldn't want to move out of the fetal position for days. My doctor told me to exercise during that time if I can - said that the movement would help to eleviate a lot of the pain. It helped a little and then she put me on the pill and…
-
Woo hoo! Nicely done! Keep it up!
-
For some people, it is a good exercise. It depends on how much you weigh - because when you're 250+ pounds, doing any activity takes a lot out of you and increases your heart rate. And, if you're like me, you add little movements when you're cleaning to get more out of it.

Hi, everyone! I'm Brandi and I'm 31 years old and 5' 6". I was born in Ohio, raised in North Carolina, went to Ohio State for college, worked in Columbus, moved to NYC for a few years for work, and have now lived in the Denver, Colorado area for the past year and a half. I love college football (Go Bucks!), photography,…

You're supposed to eat them, that's why MFP adds them to your allowed calories for the day.

I agree with saadler. He's also probably not going to listen because he's seeing fast results on the scale.

Weight comes off in odd ways sometimes. Try not to be discouraged - look how far you've come! Keep it up!

I'd like to join, if I qualify then! I need to really start getting active and make the weight loss happen. My starting weight: 256 lbs. My current weight: 246.5 lbs. Height: 5'6" I've put my weight loss goal on MFP as 56 lbs to start off with (which would get me to 200 lbs), but I need to lose a lot more than that.

What types of challenges have there been? I don't want to sign up for something that I can't physically do and disappoint the team.
