Day 2 proved to be another comfortable run. Not much pain. In fact, the soreness seemed to go away while I was running. I'm very excited for tomorrow. I will be happy to do my 20 mins run and to be another week closer to my goal.

Grrrr... I read this post last weekend, and this song is STILL in my head. LOL

Ya, I agree, I think it's because of the less runs.... doesn't really make any sense but when you think you only have to run 3xs as opposed to, like, 9xs... it doesn't seem so bad. Tonight I'm doing day 2. Yesterday I went to my strength training class and, for some reason, the teacher went insane last night!! She…

I did week 4 last week and was thinking it was super hard to run the 5 mins... until the last day. The last day, I slowed down to where my breathing was managable. I actually ended up doing an extra round of the 3min/5min. It helped me feel much more confident about this week. Yesterday I did W5D1 and it was totally fine.…

Day 1 done. And it actually seemed a bit easier than all of the other days. I'm not sure why. As I've heard even experienced runners say, you have good runs and bad runs... for whatever reason. Yesterday was just a good run and (fingers crossed) hopefully day 3 will be a good run as well. :)

Shydaisi - Wow, I'm proud of you too!! lol That's amazing. I would never be able to keep up that pace. I am starting W5 today. I know I am going to be obsessing all week about that last run. I know I won't be able to knock it out of the park like you did... but I hope to able to at least finish the 20 mins.

I just wanna live Don't really care about the things that they say Don't really care about what happens to me I just wanna live - Good Charlotte Not the rest of the song... just this part. I listen to it when I'm running and it reminds me why I'm doing it.

You are going much, MUCH faster than I am. When I was going too fast (for me) I was thinking what you said, how am I going to run for 20 mins in just a week when I am really struggling with the 5. But when I slowed down to where I could breath I thought to myself, I think I could do this for 20 mins..... Ya know, in a…

I finished week 4 today. I am very very happy!!! I learned a couple of lessons (well, re-learned. this isn't my first attempt at this). One being SLOW DOWN. I was killing myself and feeling defeated. I run at the track at the gym and I don't know if I was subconsciously trying to keep up with the more experienced runners…

Oh good!!! See you there!

I'm way behind everyone in this group. I'm awfully lonely back here in week 4. lol Oh well. Last night I did W4D2 and it was much better than the 1st run. It started off a bit rough and then got better. It takes me about 1 min to jog aroung the track at the gym so I use that as a gauge to let me know how much longer I have…

Ok, so last night I did W4D1. It was somewhat brutal. I really had a tough time controling my breathiing during the 5 min runs. But I just tried to slow down a bit and do the 3 count in/ 1 count out breathing. That seemed to help. Even though I completed all the runs, I still left feeling defeated. :( I guess it's because…

It's very kind or you to think of your neighbors. I'm in the same situation. That's why I joined a gym. That way I can work out to my heart's content and I don't have to worry about pissing anyone off. lol But if you aren't able to join a gym right now, I would just go ask your neighbor. I'm sure they would really…

Starting W3 today. :) I'm remembering a time when I could run 10 mins or so with ease and I am amazed that last week I was breathing pretty heavy when I ran 1.5 mins. Although, I do also remember that my lungs and heart caught up much faster than my legs did. So, I am looking forward to noticing my fitness improving from…

Hey there! I've been so inconsistant on MFP but lately I've been back with a new determination. Anyway, I missed your familiar face on here so I thought I'd look to see what you've been up to... and WOW!!!! I actually started tearing up when reading this. You have alot to be proud of. You are AWESOME, LADY. :) You've come…

I try to keep in mind that I am craving it because my body and mind are so used to having that stuff. Then I think that if I don't eat the junk my cravings will dissipate over time. For some reason, for me I can handle it better if I think it's just some psychological trick my mind/body is playing on me and it's not…

I'm sorry it took me so long to reply, but I can't tell you how much this out-pouring of support has helped me. I guess it made me feel ok with my grief and accept that this is just something that I am going to carry with me for a while. I miss my Fletch so much and still burst into tears... but I do look forward to the…

I have a stupid question... are you suppose to eat what's in the water?

I love reading your posts... you always make me giggle. :) My husband is addicted to the diet MD. It always baffles me when he says he's thirsty and grabs an MD. I tell him - WATER, water quenches ones thirst!!!

Awesome, Hotbabe! :) You look great and, as I know all too well, that must've taken alot of work and dedication. WTG!!!!
