  • That sounds like my dog. Your dog's name is Earl?.... I LOVE IT!!
  • OMG, you must've been freaking out!!! I'm glad you found the dog safe and sound.... and got a good workout in while you were at it. :)
  • Greeat idea! I tend not to track on bad day. I suppose I don't want to see the truth of it! lol
  • I hear ya!!! I'm restarting AGAIN this week. Last summer I was really commited and logged on everyday (well, every weekday)... but it DOES WORK. and when I don't log, I get very careless about my diet.... just like you. Why do we do this to ourselves???? One way I'm trying to look at it is.... I should never be too busy…
  • I like graham crackers with brummel and brown on them dipped in milk. It's probably not that great but it's better than icecream and it satisfies my sweet tooth.
  • Welcome and good luck.
  • I'm glad that it's something you can work on. It would be a shame to have to quit now when you come so far! I sure with the same dedication you'll have a nice round booty in no time!!
  • I love wine too!! It's been such a struggle in maintaining my weight. It's not just the empty cals in the wine but it's also the relaxing effect. I think it makes me lazier and I also think I eat more when having wine with dinner. Also, I noticed I am more likely to have a late night snack. It's a terrible, terrible thing.…
  • Someone pointed out to me recently that when you change your diet you could get water weight gain until your body gets used to the change. Also, if your building muscle, that's can cause water weight gain too. Please don't get discouraged. Hang in there!!!
  • I have a HRM so I am able to track cals burned. I'm 38 yrs old and weigh 121 lbs. It seems like I always burn abount 200. In the earlier weeks I buned a little less and in the later weeks a little more. I thought in the later weeks I would burn significantly more, but I think my fitness level has increased through the…
  • Oh my gosh... You sound just like ME!! I try to burn 400 too... and, like you, it's getting harder and harder!! Ugh!! And, like you, I simply CAN NOT workout without my Polar. LOL It's really become a major motivator for me. :)
  • @oats4breakfast, Thank you for all of the useful info. It sounds like you really keep things interesting and "keep your body guessing". @mpos, Yes, please keep me posted on the C25K! Also, let me know how you like your HRM, when you get it. :)
  • Good luck with the C25k. I got up to week 7 and then I slacked of a couple of weeks. Now I'm back to week 5. :P I rewarded myself with the Polar FT7 after week 2. lol You're going to love it!!!!
  • I looked at stumptuous.com. Great site. Thanks for the tip.
  • That sounds like really good advice. I definitely try switching it up every few weeks!! Thank you.
  • Good for you! I'm sure you looked awesome!!!
  • I feel your pain, sister. There's just nothing like a cold beer!!!
  • Thank you for all of your reponses. I am still amazed by your dediction to your health and your family. You are all quite an inspiration to me. I guess what it boils down to is that I have to make my health a priority. Honestly, from reading your suggestions, I think it would be best for me to forget about TV all together.…
  • Walking is a great gateway drug, oops, I mean exercise. ;) I started walking just twice a week. Then it turned into 3xs then 5xs then started jogging. Walking is great on it's own but I think you'll find once you get started you'll want to do more and more. Good luck to you!!
  • Whenever I've had problems with mine it was because the pads weren't wet enough. I take of the strap and run it under a faucet... then it works fin.
  • Oh my gosh... I'm totally gonna try this!! I'll have to work on coming up with a good background story! LOL
  • I have refried beans for dinner 3 or 4 days a weeks. Although I used fat-free refried beans (not quite sure how they make fat-free refried.. but anyway). I add some pico de gallo, hot sauce, picante sauce, avacado... or whatever I have on hand, and eat it as a dip with baked tostitos. It's very good and low cal.
  • Ok, now I have to stop reading these at work. I am laughing out loud! emphasis on LOUD!!! :D
  • I started that "people watching" thread and I was gonna do this one next. You beat me to it!!! LOL I'm the lady who starts groovin' to the music - when I'm having an intense workout I have to do whatever it takes to stay pumped!!!... even if it means looking like an idiot. :)
  • Thank you everyone. Loving the stories! Keep 'em coming! I'm sitting at my desk cracking up and wiping the tears away. It's so boring at work today... I needed some entertainment! :)
  • *gasp* I think that might explain it!!! Thank you... I was going crazy trying to figure out what was going on!!!
  • I wouldn't focus too much on where you are landing on your feet. Just try to land softly. At the beginning I was thinking about how I was landing (I read you were suppose to land towards the front of your foot) I ending up w/ shin splints and very sore calves all the time. Come to find out if you are running fast you are…
  • You just scoop out the seed and eat them. Go ahead and try it. They are very good!
  • My Mom has had this problem in the past and she found out she had low iron. Maybe you should get your blood tested.
  • I was thinking the same thing today! I think there's just alot of people on here that are very knowledgeable about nutrition and fitness and they tend to take a difference of opinion as more of an insult to their own intelligence.
