Good job!!!! I know it tough. I always think, if I'm going to cheat I want something homemade and it better be something I LOVE!!

I love to sweat at the gym. When I feel that first trickle of sweat down the side of my face I think YES!! And when I'm done I always check out the back of my shirt. I'm actually kinda jealous of the people who's shirts are soaked. I feel like they got a better workout in. Don't be self conscious. There are probably people…

This guy is a jerk. It's a good thing it's a small percentage that think like that. Obviously you are contributing more to the household than just financially. My husband and I keep things separate. He makes more money than I do and pays most of the bills but has never throw it in my face. We're partners in life and are…

The great thing about salad is you can make it suited to your own taste. I thought I hated salad and then I found out it the dressing I hate. I also don't lke lettuce. So I use spinach or spring greens and veggies with just a little olive oil and garlic salt and pepper... oh, and cheese, of course!

Daisi, I am very happy for you, but a tad bit jealous too. It seems like you are just a natural runner!! I so hope to run that fast some day. I didn't tell you girls what happened to me W9D1. It started off great. I actually felt like I was going at a pretty decent pace and felt good. Then shortly after my app said…

I used to be 5'4" but I think I've shrunk an inch. Most of my adult life I've been right around 105 but truthfully I was skinny-fat. People would always comment on how skinny I was and I never felt that way because I had those problem areas. To me I thought that meant I had more weight to lose. I never thought - gee, maybe…

I remember, in the 80's, thinking, Wow, they dressed weird in the 50's, 60's, abd 70's... now we just dress normal. LOL

I will be starting on week 9 next week. But as I've attempted this many time before, I consider myelf to be somewhat of an expert. In my other attemps I'm gotten stuck on certain weeks and the futhest I've made it before this time was week 6. But this time I went at it with a whole new plan. I decided I would…

Ok, I love the idea of a banana split. Actually that's probably gonna be stuck in my head now until I have one! lol But I will definitely try your pre-run protein bar thing. The most I've been having for a snack has been a handful of pretzels. I've been looking around on the internet for some speedwork ideas. Are you doing…

Ok ladies. Don't get me wrong... I love this running program. It's amazing to see the changes in my body and how quickly I my body has adjusted to this. BUT... sometimes it miserable and I'm just trying to get thru it. It's so weird because sometimes it's awesome. I have a great run and feel terrific afterwards. But…

I'm doing W8D2 tonight. At this point, NOT finishing is NOT an option. I know I will finish and I am very excited!! The only thing that scares me is falling away once I've finished. That seems to happen to so many. I've been busy coming up with a plan to keep me interested in running. I feel like i need to continuously…

Daisi, that sounds like a really good idea. I, too, am not a big fan of intervals. I think that I need to work on my speed tho. I feel like, even when I graduate, I'll still will only be going 2.5 mi, if that. :blushing: My thought was to go back thru the intervals but this time I'll jog my normal speed when it says to…

Vanity, definitely my favorite sin

Ok, I kinda felt like crap all day today. I'm still having some residual effects from this cold and I had a mild headache and felt kind dizzy and nauseous. I was thinking I was setting mysefl up for failure by trying to run today but I just thought I'd see how it goes. And, guess what!??? I DID IT!! and it was just fine.…

Ok, tameko and tageekly, I will take your advice and do week 7. I'll let you know how it goes. I was suppose to start it yesterday but I had the day off and chose to stay in my jammies all day and putter around the house. :blushing: But today I am back to work and ready to get back to this c25k business as well!!!

Woodridge, Illinois. It's about 1/2 hr away from Chicago. I love that this site is so diverse.

Oh, I am so disappointed. I was determined to join you ladies this week. I would have been on week 7 but I caught a terrible chest cold. I have a fever, body aches, and every things else.... To top it off, it's our busiest time of year at work and I'm unable to take a sick day. So, needless to say, I am not running this…

Oh, I have a feeling that it probably didn't set you back as much as you might think. Good luck today!!

Ok, this week ended great. I was visiting family in North Dakota and I planned on doing my run out there. I usually don't run outside in the cold so I read up on what to wear. I went out and bought a shirt with material that will wick away moisture. I packed my hat and gloves and was all set.... or so I thought. I forgot…

Ok, day 2 DONE! But it was a struggle. Not as bad as the first day. My legs felt just fine. This time it was just my breathing that I struggled with. It's weird because usually it's the other way around. Overall this week is kinda sucky for me.

So far no snow!! So, that is good. But, yes, I would worry too if there was snow.... knowing my luck I'd fall down and break a hip or something.

Tonight is my last night of intervals!!! I am going to try to drink lots of water today. Hopefully that will make a difference. I'm trying to figure out how I am going to do day 3 this week. We are going to ND for Christmas to be with my husband's family. I thought we were leaving Fri afternoon and I was planning on doing…

Shydaisi> your post cracked me up. That is so something I would do. I get that anal about every second!! I've had to stop and tie my shoe before too and I always makes me angry because I feel like I "cheated". lol I totally get you. I think you are doing awesome!!! I did day 1 yesterday. When I was looking at the intervals…

I'm starting week 6 today. I'm happy to finally have people on the same week as me!! This will be a difficult one considering I've been so tired lately and it's the last week before Christmas and I still have so much to do. Ugh!! Oh well, I can do this!!!
-
ME TOO! I was just telling my husband that no one dresses like me at my gym. Seriously, I seem to be the only one that just wears whatever. I think that makes me cool! ;)
-
Day 3 done! I am thankful that my C25K app tells me when I'm halfway done. It helped me to break it down into 2 very managable segments. I did just fine. It wasn't "easy" but it was too hard either.

This isn't really that embarrassing... just a little bit. Last week I wore a new pair of pants. When I stuck my phone in my pocket and started jogging around the track I realized they were a bit loose around the waist and with the weight of my phone they sliding down to the point that I had to continuously hold them up. I…
