This is not how metabolisms work. And why the fear of dietary fat (in protein shakes)?
-
Another otherwise delicious food ruined by attempts to add protein (and remove sugar). :'(

Is this something the kids are doing with words again...like how saying something is "bad" actually means it's good...or "sick" actually means it's awesome? Because by "gross", you obviously mean "delicious.

Hi. My name's Jonathan. And I, too, like artificial banana flavor.

Wasn't until at least the third time I looked at this pic that I even noticed you were in it. ( ;) )

Level of exertion matters, for sure. And ellipticals could have fairly drastically different calorie burns depending on how they're designed, setup, and maintained. (I've found some ellipticals absolutely crushing with a really high, strenuous step, and others are easy and smooth like butter.) But don't overthink it. Just…

Egads. My usual rowing session is 5000-5500m, ~24:00-26:00. I can't imagine doing that 40 times in...uh...30something days. 2ish times per week is about all I can handle in addition to my usual strength sessions. (And here I thought I was in decent shape. :'( )

If OP's version of vegetarianism includes eggs and dairy, then yeah, should be zero problems gaining weight.

I'm a big fan of the Labrada "hi-protein" MRPs, especially the strawberry ice cream flavor* in single-serving pouches. Mixes easily in water (with a shaker cup). Surprisingly delicious even mixed in water. (Although it you're trying to add some calories, mix it in milk). *My last batch had different packaging and was just…

Interesting. Nice catch. But yeah, that store locator has failed me many times before (even when going the route that yields results). One particular store I checked last week where they supposedly had this flavor didn't even have a shelf tag for it.

Meanwhile, the quest continues...

What happened when you consistently ate at a reasonable caloric surplus over a sufficient period of time?
-
Generally, probably not. Or at least scaled way back. Given your specific situation, absolutely not. Instead, make adequate nutrition and sufficient calories to attain and maintain good health your hobby.

You're talking about the Versaclimber. We're not talking about the Versaclimber. I'm a big fan of the Versaclimber. We're talking about the MaxiClimber. The Versaclimber is a well-designed piece of equipment that will provide hundreds of hours of use (for several thousand dollars). The MaxiClimber, however, only makes an…

You will *never* see equipment like this in a reputable gym. (Or at least I would hope not.) More likely to see something like this: Wow. This beast takes up some floor space:

Awwww....look at the giant pic of tinyJof. Isn't he cute...makes you want to pinch his widdle cheeks.

LOL First thought when I saw that picture was "that looks like an excellent way to get injured". So when I read your comment, I LiterallyLedOL.

Nope, still broken. It's imported, but something is screwy in the calculations. I didn't dig too deeply into what that might be though.

I try to keep my sugar below 120ish grams most of the year, and below 75ish g when cutting, so I could probably make those work. Wait. Never mind. I just remembered that I hate oatmeal (and most every other instant or instant-like cereal). In unrelated (and far more delicious) news, the Haagen Dazs finder says that their…

(We all have our roles to play.)
-
No, but I spent the first 18 years of my life less than 30 miles from there.
-
Had a case of this delivered a few weeks ago. It's what I use for bacon flavoring.
-
Have tried. And I understand why it should work in theory. But in practice, the lettuce is so often wilted by the heat that I just automatically forego it entirely.

BLASPHEMERS!!

For the record, those who think Halo Top is "just as good as regular ice cream" are also wrong. Very very wrong. Especially if that regular ice cream is Haagen Dazs Sea Salt Caramel Truffle. Those who think HT is "a potentially reasonable low-calorie frozen treat that might help you through the struggle in times of poverty…

You think I haven't tried inferior-tasting tainted protein-added bagels?!? Or muffins?!? Or pancakes?!? YOU THINK I HAVEN'T TRIED THEM?/??doubleslash?/??!? I've tried so many of them...but consistently...every single time...they're inferior...because if adding protein actually improved the taste, someone would sell…
-
(Heh. Jof has very few buttons...but inferior-tasting versions of delicious foods because protein-added is obviously one of them.) TL;DR - STAY OFF MY LAWN!
-
Eat them because they're low cal then, but don't pretend like they're a superior bagel. She said herself that it was 6/10. Who wants to eat a 6/10 bagel when there are 10/10 bagels in the world (and maybe 9/10 bagels reasonably locally available)? And the protein source in those protein-added foods is often an inferior…
-
10/10 would eat* (*minus the lettuce. I really don't like lettuce, especially with hot foods.)

Objection, hearsay!
