I think her point is that the bananas were advertising something else entirely. The Chiquita banana girl was their own logo. I'm assuming she doesn't like the corporate, capitalist side of the whole thing, amirite?

I do give in to the Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisine meals here and there, but I've also been making sandwiches using lean lunchmeat, fat free cheese and sandwich thins. You can even use a small amount of mayo and still come in around 250 calories. I second the idea of buying a food scale. I got one at my regular grocery…

Last night, I said no to homemade Filipino food - one of my biggest weaknesses. Instead, I ate soup and a half PBJ sandwich for dessert, and closed out my day under my calorie goal. :happy:

1310 to lose a pound a week. As someone who is historically used to eating about 700 calories more than that, it's proving to be a bit of a challenge! In the two days that I've really been tracking, I was over by 70 one day and *just* under by 37 the other. But I am ready for the lifestyle change and am looking forward to…

Good to know! I've been doing some research and have been shocked to find out how many calories are in even some of the "smart" choices from a lot of my favorite restaurants. I'll definitely keep this choice in mind!
