isn't it amazing how many calories are wasted on something that doesn't even taste that good? Lettuce would have far less calories and just as much flavor!!
-
lately: liverwurst, cheese and a tomato (not all mixed together). Yum!!

Why are they decreasing protein??? Kids need fat and protein in their diets to satiate them, it just needs to be from healthy sources, not fried foods and trans fats. When I did my student teaching, the kids always had access to a salad bar (public school!!!!) and most kids took salad, carrots, or another veggie offered.…

Yes, I'm pretty sure that is a fermented veggie. I usually just eat my fermented veggies cold or room temp. I think heating them could kill the good bugs.

crustless quiche...12 eggs with some veggies baked and topped with bacon.

yogurt, fermented veggies, kombucha, or a sweet potato. Works everytime :) the little bugs in the first three help things

saturated fat is not the demon it has been made out to be, especially from an all natural source like an avocado! Eat your avocado and enjoy. It won't hinder your weight loss
-
...I hope you mean a gluten free one...
-
bacon I usually just don't use a bun. I just use a fork and knife. I find lettuce to be in my way and gluten free buns taste a lot like sponges. Just enjoy your burger as nature intended :)

if you want some more info and resources for paleo/primal (primal allows full fat dairy) then check out Mark's Daily Apple (do a google search for it). Atkins is very similar to paleo in the foods that are recommended. The "restrictive" aspect gets easier after a few weeks when your cravings die down.

I stay pretty low carb, at least by American standards! I'm usually under 100g a day and usually aim for well over 100g of fat a day, protein lands where it lands and I don't concern myself with it too much. It works great for me and my weight is easily maintained eating this way. I'm also gluten free, due to an…

my favorite (and really only ones I ever eat) are larabars, homemade or store bought. Grain free, healthy fat, and sooo yummy!

bumping for this info, i'm in manch!

bump for later amusement :)

I avoid fruit during the day because it just stokes my hunger, especially in the morning. I stick with salad greens, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, and cucumbers. If you want fruit, do some berries. Also, try some olives, cheese, beef jerky, tuna, avocado, nuts, seeds, etc for a more filling snack that is satiating. Eat more…

not entirely sure...a lot though. They have a decent calorie calculator on their website if I remember correctly

I usually have chocolate once a day, usually dark! I work at a chocolate factory though, so resisting the temptation is tough!
-
if you can't find something you really want right now, peel them and freeze them! They make good breads and stuff later

yeah, I usually go up a pound or two. Then, when its done, I'll drop that weight almost right away and see a further weight loss soon after.
-
well your diary is closed, that makes it tough to give good recommendations. Are you eating enough? At only about 15 pounds to lose, you should probably be aiming for 1/2 a week and therefore eating more calories.

love chipotle, great for gluten free eaters! I love a steak burrito bowl with no beans. Yum!!!
-
totally meant GNC. And I've never actually bought anything from them, just thought it would be a good place to start
-
good article, thanks for sharing! I have changed my diet to include these real foods and it makes me feel a lot better.
-
gmc has a whole gluten free section on their website, so I would start there :)
-
if you open up your diary, it would be easier for people to give recommendations based on that.

One big tip: Don't replace your gluten filled foods with the gluten free alternatives. These are often higher in calories than the regular versions, making them tough on weight loss. Go with real foods! I'm grain, gluten, and legume free and have been for more than 6 months. Sometimes I have corn, but have been good about…

coffee in the morning for me (or any time of the day really). I usually only have 2 cups a day, but if I don't have it, I get a huge headache and I am cranky. I've weaned myself off of coffee before, but life is better with it :)

well you would put all of the ingredients into the recipe maker. Then, if you make 12 muffins then that is 12 servings. Have you used the recipe builder on this site yet? Its very easy to use and is a great tool!
-
best approach would probably be to create a recipe and each cookie or slice of cake would be a serving. It will take a little time to put the recipes in, but it will be more accurate than guessing.

up your healthy fats and your vegetables. Lower your fruit intake for a bit. Those are just my suggestions and they have worked for me. Fruit makes me hungry.
