  • I didn’t log again today. I probably went over calories. Exercise was good though. Very early morning session with my trainer and two of her other clients (trainer is one of my best friends and ex house mate and the clients are a colleague and his wife so all friends). That includes all of the push-ups, even the kind I…
  • I’ll start logging again on Monday. Still haven’t figured out how to get that right when the man stays over. Today was no exercise as it was blood donation day. Then coffee catch up with a good friend. We see each other regularly at church and community group and theology course but don’t always get to those deep…
  • Not the best choices and I didn’t log. I did get to Pilates reformer class though! And coached kids Jiu Jitsu class.
  • Busy work day but very constructive. Went running in thick mist after work which was different. Under calories but not the best choices. Still that counts as a successful day so won’t be hard on myself about it. Fingers are full of cuts again thanks to my latest batch of little fluffy demons. They look so cute until you…
  • What an epic training session!!! Even if it did end with five minutes of death (coach’s fitness session right at the end of a tough class). I haven’t trained much in two weeks with work chaos and reaction to the stupid flu vaccine so it was great to get a good hard session in today. Ate well and well under goal too.…
  • Third pass day but this month I’m aiming for consistency so that’s ok. Feeling better but not 💯 so took another slow day. Need to run tomorrow to get my weekly goal (which counts towards my watch and phone payment - if I got enough goals I don’t pay the monthly cost at all). New app said I could do a medium intensity…
  • Took a pass day because I had a low grade fever and nausea. Still convinced it was flu vaccine yesterday combined with a run down system from a chaotic 10 days. Got an app that uses heart rate variability to predict your readiness to train. The day started telling me I could do a very light session but that dropped to…
  • An adequate day. Under calories and I did warm up at Jiu Jitsu class. Then I felt nauseous so had to sit out the rest. I blame it on the flu vaccine I got this morning. Also got a bunch of good medical test results (and the associated points on my insurance program for the good results). Was pleased to note that even…
  • Busy work day but it was the last of the 7 and everything is done. Then church in the evening with my man. Not much free time to eat badly so all good on the food side and work covered my exercise for the day (running back and forth between the two sections plus carryImg heavy boxes of fish around. My Smeagol enjoying his…
  • Pass day. I went camping last weekend then straight into a 7 day work week, covering my friend’s duties as well as my own so she could go away for her birthday and it was one crisis after another so today was totally rest day! I’m only working two of the next 21 days so I get a break myself. Went out for breakfast with my…
  • @SummerSkier beavers!!! wow, so awesome!
  • Under budget and enough exercise. A busy day at work then the man cooked us supper.
  • Crazy busy day at work, which included draining one of the seal pools and sweeping all their poop down the drain. Sometimes my job is not so much fun, but I also got to give my otter a crayfish tail. He thoroughly enjoyed the enrichment exercise and was the cutest ever. Reasonable food choices that kept me under budget and…
  • Good day, just crazy busy at work. I did eat an entire Lindt bunny this evening but my calories actually had space for it. I’m really struggling with energy levels at the moment but I’m in a 7 day work week with no backup after a camping weekend so that’s not surprising. I do need to get better on my nutrition and exercise…
  • @SummerSkier see my intro with the video about my new otter!
  • I need to try get this going again. The man has agreed we need to limit our treats as they have been getting a bit out of hand and I need to get back into my morning training routine, which I can do in April as I'm working Easter, then basically off for three weeks (only two days of work in that period). March was two…
  • I took a me day and after morning Pilates class just caught up on series. I even skipped evening Jiu Jitsu because I just needed some alone time. Between training and boyfriend I haven’t had an evening to myself in over 6 weeks. I didn’t track and definitely snacked too much. This weekend we are off on a camping trip, just…
  • Silly Bandit!!! Heal soon my friend. Good day for me even with ice cream cos the man came over for supper. Exercise was a session on the indoor bike and Pilates reformer class. Also had kids Jiu Jitsu and got our new little guy who is very introverted to try something new which is a big step for him. Food logged and under…
  • I succumbed to temptation at lunchtime and I’m over budget for the day. However evening Jiu Jitsu reminded me why I generally avoid wheat and how too much triggers my asthma. I’ll be avoiding it for a couple of weeks and then limit my consumption again to get it back under control. In addition to Jiu Jitsu, I did a group…
  • A good day for me. All logged and a decent amount of food with ok choices. Exercise was yoga, abs and some crow pose practise between kids and adults Jiu Jitsu. Really seeing some nice progress in class at the moment which is encouraging. Part of this is the result of dealing with some of my mental blocks with a…
  • How I deal with the peanut butter cravings. I only buy the one which is peanuts only as well but I have a rule that if I eat it out of the jar, I am not allowed to buy anymore until the next pay day. So if I do binge and finish it there isn’t any more until the next month!
  • Ok, I’ve decided that I’m not taking on weekends for this month (I know I’m out of the winners circle but for now this suits me). I’ll still stay aware of my food obviously. Was happy to note that my weight is stable but still need to drop a few kgs so need to get the new routine with the man sorted. He is a bit fussy…
  • Pass day 2. I was hungry all the time. This is why I generally don’t do a full day at home. No work today and my plans kept changing so in the end I only went out for Jiu Jitsu in the evening. Was fairly constructive but also had some good relaxing time so it was a nice balance.
  • Exercise was just work but that included jumping in and scrubbing the island clean when we shock treated the pool then coaching kids Jiu Jitsu. After a crazy busy day at work I stopped for coffee and food on the way to kids Jiu Jitsu and ended up getting too much so I’m on pass day 1 for the month.
  • A morning beachfront run then busy day at work. Today that involved a trip to the beach to catch fish for the sea snake and an end to the monitors love affair. This was quite a dramatic divorce because the smaller female was found half inside the bigger male (well he had her entire head in his mouth). We got her out and…
  • Avid reader too. My favourite author is Matthew Reilly. His best is series that starts with Seven ancient wonders (kind of Indiana Jones ish). Also do loads of the young adult fantasy stuff. Terry Pratchet is epic. Just finished Discovery of Witches series which I really enjoyed.
  • Well done to winners and champions. Good first day back for me despite a chaotic day at work. I did see the teeny tiny new baby penguin though which is always a good thing. Food logged including the extra snacks I grabbed between work and training. Reasonable choices today and a decent amount although I want to try and…
  • Greetings from sunny South Africa. I’m still hovering about 2-4 kgs above my goal weight and need to get routines going again that will help me get there. I didn’t make it through February as I was getting used to sharing my life with another person. Old members followed my budding romance with eagerness during January and…
  • @RangerRickL I will admit that I’m enjoying that as well. Thanks everyone.
  • My nsv is taking a step I’ve been contemplating for a while and starting weekly sessions with a psychologist. My initial reason was related to a mental block I have at training but after just two sessions I can see it goes deeper. Working through this will definitely improve my Jiu Jitsu and other aspects of my life.
