I started reading the thread hoping it had started a week ago or something and I would get to know the outcome by the end.. but I guess not! LOL Don't make it into some major event or you're going to be all weird and it won't be any fun. Have a glass of wine, make something to eat..chat.. just be you..and add some honesty…

I'm of the mind that if I'm going to go out, I'm going to prepare for it so I can actually enjoy it. But, I'm also super picky and would rather stay home than not eat something enjoyable just because it's a few hundred calories. I agree with what the others were saying--get in a good workout, or allow yourself to go over a…

Like someone else wondered... sounds a bit like self-sabotage. I've done it many times..it's like, Oooh, I did well..that's a bit scary..can't allow myself to feel too proud because really, it's not much..I have so much left to lose..ugh..screw it..food.. Or something of that variation... the other part you said about…

Hey.. I'm in Halifax... anyone feel free to add me! Gotta love the Maritimes! :)

Mmmm, yum. Thanks for passing it along!

At work all we have is a microwave so I just crack an egg in a microwavable dish, scramble it up, cook it for around a minute, put it on an english muffin..add cheese if you want.. it's a yummy lunch, and not utterly terrible for you. I mean, good carbs, some protein from the egg and/or cheese. Not too shabby.

I was going through a stage of that and when I was showing my trainer my food log, I commented on it. She reviewed, and said that I had been having too many carbs and that day I was starving I had decreased my carbs but not replaced them with enough. She told me I was basically going through some sort of carb withdrawal…

I just teared up for you! That's awesome! Congratulations.

Hey there.. welcome to the site. Sounds like you've been going through a hard time, but good for you for just putting one foot in front of another.. hope you find what you're looking for. I've found MFP the best thing I've tried so far, and I've been all over the map.. keep going!! If you need anything, just remember to…

Hey.. so, I lost this thread but I noticed that it continued after page 20 in another way.. (stunned). So, I finished L1D5 and L1D6.. I should be on D 9 but I missed a couple of days due to a death in my family. Proud that I didn't give up, but disappointed that I didn't go straight through without missing anything... But,…

D4L1 complete. Today, for me the challenge wasn't the workout, but GETTING to the workout. It's like I think "30 whole days?!?!?" and almost psych myself out. Knowing I don't want to miss a day makes me plan better to make sure it gets done, but also makes it feel kind of daunting. Thankfully I have my husband saying…

Some of these recipes sound sooo good. I'm definitely going to pull out my crock pot and get cooking. THanks all!

D3L1 DONEZO!! ALso did some cardio at the gym AND I'm meeting with my trainer at 6 am... sucker for punishment but I love it.. feeling really encouraged doing all of this... Thanks Mel for starting the thread.... LOVING IT!

L1D2 completed! Didn't get home tonight until 9:30 and allllmost didn't do it, but having my husband do it with me and REALLY not wanting to log in and say I didn't do it is what got me going! Thanks SO much to everyone for motivating and inspiring me! Those damned side lunges and lateral raises.. *L* Ready for bed and…

Day 1 complete... my husband is doing this along with me and it's great to have all of you along the way. I see a personal trainer twice a week, planning on doing cardio on my own 3 additional days and then shred everyday..Just need to keep on track with my food, which is always easier for me when I'm exercising.. It's…

Haha.. I tried it last week to just see how it was and my husband and I were sore for a day or two... doing it tonight and just going to work through it.... make sure you stretch afterwards so you can walk tomorrow! *L* KEEP GOING!!!

Hey.. I have 20 odd pounds on you and I just finished my first Shred workout.. it's challenging but it is a good workout, and will give your body a good jolt out of what you're familiar with doing. Good luck! You can do it...

I didn't log for the last month and started today back on track with my copy of Shred in the plans... Now I see this and it seems perfect. I do MFP by myself so this is a great way to get some support and do this with others... great idea and I'd love to join!!

I started with a trainer about a year ago hoping to get some motivation. What I found was that they will help you, make you accountable, teach you a TON of things, but motivation has to come from you. I am slow to get on board with most things, and actually had to switch trainers because one moved on, but I am a HUGE…

One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that eating chocolate or sweets..well, it's part of life. "Normal" people eat these things from time to time and don't stress out about it. In the last month I've lost 10 pounds and my trainer said to me today (because she knows I maybe obsess about things from time to time..lol)…
