Congrats on the NSV and the marriage! You look amazing!

You can look at my diary and see how much I eat and feel good that you are way below my calories even when eating at 1500. :flowerforyou:

I buy lemons by the bag, keep them in the frig, and they never go moldy. I probably keep them for a couple of weeks or longer without any problems. I do use them a lot in my cooking.

Thanks! I'm going to change my settings right now! :flowerforyou:

I wish I would have a freezer after reading this but we won't. We already eat mostly fresh fruits and veggies so I don't think that will change but for example I might buy veggie burgers instead of making my own, mostly because it is hard to travel with that many ingredients. But who knows, maybe I will make my own still!…

Hah, I like it!

This is a good idea, too. I was thinking about switching to maintenance and then trying to still keep a deficit of 250-500 if possible but not stress out if I didn't make the deficit that day. :flowerforyou:

Thanks!
-
Thanks, this is what I am thinking too

Yes, I do like the idea of switching to maintenance. I will be able to stick to a plan pretty well I think but not like I can from home. Plus since I will have no scale I won't be able to tell if I am losing or what and I like to weight daily.

Not possible our place is already rented. :flowerforyou:

I've have mine for about 6 weeks and I really do think it is quite accurate. Mind you I still log exercise into MFP which the Fitbit picks up and adds to my total. You can look at my diary to see how I'm doing it. I feel like it kind of learned from me over time so maybe in the beginning it wasn't quite as accurate as a…

I've heard he still does daily exercise classes somewhere in LA. They are like $11 drop in. If I ever am in the area I am going out of my way to take one of his classes in person because that would be a priceless experience!

Just walk a ton while you are out sight-seeing and eat what you want! I always walk so much on vacation that I don't usually gain any weight. It's only a week, you'll be fine!

This.

I would also go for angel food cake, mostly because I love it! You can also replace the oil in cake with apple sauce or pumpkin puree. If you get a cake mix and then mix it with one 14.5 oz can of pumpkin puree (not pie filling) it is delicious! For muffins/cupcakes bake at 350 for 18 minutes. Or for a cake pan probably…

I ate 2072 today - you can look at my diary :) Wine helps.

I like adding pureed bananas and dares for natural sweetener then you don't have to add any sugar. Plus some vanilla or almond extract and some cinnamon, then whatever nuts or seeds I happen to have on hand.

Try to get more sleep in general. And I find when I eat more raw fruits and veggies I can feel their energy so maybe try to eat more of those. And enough water.

Great transformation and great advice, too! :flowerforyou:

I make kale chips all the time and I love them! Remove the stem and rip the kale into chip size pieces (not too small because they do shrink when you cook them). Spread them onto a baking sheet so they do not overlap at all. Spray with a little oil or nonstick cooking spray. Sprinkle with a little salt. Cook for 15-20…

I think it does in general because usually younger people are in general more thin. But I have seen exceptions to this rule. I already think I look younger than 40 so will losing weight make me look even younger? Maybe a bit ...

I love cooking them in a skillet in a little oil until they are slightly blistered. Add some sliced almonds and sriracha an you are all set. If you want to go crazy add bacon. When green beans are in season I sometimes have this for my dinner. It's so good!

I tried to look at your diary to see what you are eating now but it is closed. Beans, tofu, tempeh and even spinach and strawberries have protein, I don't know how much you are eating now or what sources but here is an article about how much you really need: http://www.webmd.com/diet/healthy-kitchen-11/how-much-protein…

You can look at my diary, I eat mostly vegetarian. :flowerforyou:

I eat a lot of veggies so I log them. Not only do they add up but I like to see all the great choices I am making when I look at my diary, The only thing I don't log is tea with a splash of almond milk. It's like 5-6 calories for a cup of tea and if I logged all the tea I drink in a day my diary would look silly. Still,…

My diary is open, check it out! For breakfast I often make a big batch of oatmeal (baked or on the stove top) with bananas and almond milk plus some other things for variety like dates or nuts or berries. Another thing I have is Greek yogurt with granola and fresh fruit. I have eggs and toast sometimes, usually also have…

You say you have tried all these other options but you've only been doing this for 4 months? If you change your calorie intake you should give it at least 6-8 weeks for your body to adjust. Often when people have been on low calorie diets when they increase their calories they see an initial weight gain maybe as much as 5…
