It must be a VERY small town if Owosso is one of your reference points!

You and you alone control whether you're late. So that's not really an excuse. But that's not what you asked. My typical breakfast consists of a banana coupled with a Slimfast weight-loss shake. They come in cans and if you find they're a little pricier than you'd prefer, different grocery chains have their own brand…

From the mean streets of Flint, Michigan. I haven't lived there since 1989, though. Anybody remember the "Flintoid Song"? My dad, his brother, and both of my grandfathers made their living working in the auto plants.

You need two things: (1) Chantix (2) The will to quit. Worked for me. As sunnydale said, THEY need to make the decision to quit. You can't do it for them.

Good rule of thumb, but not very useful. For instance, I weigh about 205. So for me that would be 102.5g of protein per day, which wouldn't get me near a 40/30/30 ratio. I routinely eat at least 120g per day. Just enter your food on a site like the one I showed you and get the exact numbers. Why guess when you can know…

The "40/30/30 plan" means that 40% of your calories come from carbs, 30% from protein, and 30% from fat. So you need to know those percentages. Just knowing the raw number of grams of protein you're eating doesn't tell you anything about whether you're on track with your 40/30/30. There are other sites that allow you to…

My sister was born on May 22! Of course, that doesn't disprove the fact, but it's a funny coincidence.
-
Not true. Google it.

My mind just got blown. Seriously!

Does your husband's opinion count?
-
But how many calories is it?
-
See, I knew it!

Sarah McLachlan and I were born on the same day, January 28, 1968.

I agree with BillyC, but I also think people are putting in a cursory "reply" so that it shows up on their "My Topics" list. Most of the time, I don't think the "bumper" really cares if it's at the top of the list or not. In fact, some even say, "Bump to read later" or something.
-
I agree. Don't worry about it.

Steve Perry looked a helluva lot better in the early days of Journey, when he wore white silk shirts with huge collars, opened to his navel. That is all.
-
I feel ripped off. I came to this thread because I thought we were going to talk about Journey ... the band, dammit!

The only opinion that matters is that of your significant other or spouse. I'm sure that's been said 100 times already in this thread, but I just wanted to get my $.02 in.

Preach it, sister.

Thank goodness you posted this. No one's ever said that smoking was dangerous. Is this a new study? :smokin:

Wow, that's a great story. I'm wearing size 36 or 38 now. The smallest I've ever worn as an adult is 32 or 33. Size 30 is almost unthinkable to me. Maybe that's where my "can't" is!

Well, I had to say it. Otherwise, he'd just think that I'm just making all this stuff up!

You have to read the entire statute as a whole. It says that certain activities are illegal only if they are done "with intent to terrify, intimidate, threaten, harass, annoy or offend," or if one "threaten to inflict physical harm to the person or property of any person." It's the intimidation and threatening that make…

I don't see crap in this photo. But like you, I see patterns in the textured wall in the bathroom all the time: clouds, animals, people, whatever.
-
Well, let's be clear: it doesn't outlaw "trolling," exactly. It really just complements laws that are already on the books. Threatening and intimidating in person is already a crime. This new bill apparently tries to make online versions of the same activity unlawful as well. But I agree that this law will, in some cases…

Sorry that I misstated your gender. It's hard to tell from your profile pic.

I think this is just gross. But I do think it's cute that the OP put "DO NOT MOD" in the subject line, as if the moderators will abide by her wishes just because she says so.
-
That's why they invented that "Arby's Sauce" stuff. If you put enough of that sauce on there, it tastes pretty good, actually.
-
I think the OP, j4nash, is asking the wrong question. The question should be, "Last date - McDonalds or Arbys"! Because if you're taking somebody to either place, you can just about bet that it's your last date. And if the word gets out, it might literally be your last date...ever.

Oh, I can relate! I get super grumpy when I'm hungry.
